[Seeker gives him a good sniff and this allows this petting. Okay, he's kind of into the petting.]

Yeah, a decent amount. Sometimes they have pets in the systems we visit. There's an arctic fox on board from that. [Wrath's Officer Snuggles.]

Seeker was kind of a special deal. He's from my friend, Robb's, world. [Although still not actually his direwolf because he'll never get as big or as aggressive.] He held hands with someone in front of a magic tree for him. You know, just normal stuff. [Smiling because, no, that's the least normal thing ever.]

[ It's okay, because he's into the petting, too. It's been a while since he really got to hang out with a dog. At least a month since he'd gone to visit Max and Rock on the Starstruck. When Seeker seems to be more than okay with it, Carl switches to using both hands. ]

Was. So he's gone now and left him behind. [ Which is troubling, really. If he's from that guy's world and Seeker didn't go, too? ]

Holding hands in front of a magic tree. Totally normal. [ It sounds ridiculous, or it would, if he hadn't experienced a bunch of crazy shit already. ]

[She was surprised by the same thing. But then sometimes things seem to disappear with the people and sometimes they don't. She was careful to keep everything of Winn's that someone else didn't want to remember him by. It's too much for the space she has, but she isn't ready to let any of it go and the ship has empty rooms if she needs to make more space for Seeker.]

That's right. I helped name him, so I guess he probably figured I'd be a good choice. [And his family all left before him.

She smiles at him going along with the "normal."] Kind of like the baskets, sometimes we get things from home. Get anything good in yours?

If you helped name him, Seeker's probably more comfortable with you than anyone else.

[ Isn't that right, boy? He gives the direwolf another pat on the head, standing up. ]

Not really? Some sparkling cider, stale m&m's, and a few issues of Invincible. They aren't in order or anything, though.

Here's hoping. I can tell he misses Robb. [It makes them a good pair. She still misses Winn.]

What's Invincible?

It's this comic about a hero named Invincible and he inherits his dads powers. He can fly and has super strength, and he protects earth while trying to understand his abilities.

It's...kinda dumb, I know. But I like them.

I know someone who can fly with super strength in the fleet. She is more female, but she does protect Earth when she's there.

[ He looks pretty surprised, but kind of awed, too. Not every day you can meet legit super heroes, right? ]

Really, really. I mean I knew plenty of people with super strength or ways of flying back home, but I'm blanking on anyone with the combination there.

I was actually told I was from a comic book once. [She smiles and shrugs.] The multiverse, right?

Yeah? I.. uh. Guess so? If we can be from all these different worlds, why not, right.

Pretty much. Plus, I've met people who were apparently in movies. [She didn't know the movies, but she knew others were fond of them.] But not as actors. Anyway, it's a big strange multiverse out there.
