Thank you.
First off-- have you got any experience with spaceships that hasn't been rudely shoved into your head by the Atroma?
action
He at least gathers that 'not really' isn't much to go on, so after a second of pause he continues,] Was in a rocket ship for a little while, but didn't do jack. Just floated there.

Mostly, this place is boring and it sucks and it'll continue to suck, so if you've got a better life back home I hope you go back there quickly. Mostly, you can do what you want as long as it doesn't disrupt the lives of other people on the ship.
But a few months ago the whole fleet was attacked by raiders who tried to take us all as slaves and salvage our ships. It kind of highlighted the need to be able to work together if that should happen again.
Can you fight?
action
That's about the only thing I can do. [At least he's good at it?] They...made me the pilot of this thing too, I think, but that's not gonna work out.
action
Why not?
action
Cloud looks away and rubs his arm, scowling down at his boots.] I uh. ...I get motion sick, sometimes. [Look it's usually okay if he's the one driving/piloting, but like, they're in fuckin space]
action
Also, wow. Dean had the same issue, though for uh. Different reasons, really. She smiles after a moment.]
Well, it's not a problem. We've got two pilots, and there honestly isn't a lot of piloting to be done. I'll take care of it. [He might have to if there's some kind of emergency and she's not around, but like that's gonna happen more than once in a blue moon.]
If you're a fighter, your weapon might turn up here eventually. You've been here a while already, haven't you? Got a replacement yet?
action
Uh, no. Not yet, I'm...I'm sure I'll manage. [i stole all your shit and i'm a wretched liar]
action
[Nami's smile turns lazy, propping her chin on a hand.]
How much scrap metal do you need, exactly?
[She is ON TO YOU
I mean Sam is a tattletale so]

You should try putting in requisition forms to the Atroma. They might just send you your original weapon. They did for me.

[SAID WITH AIRQUOTES AND EVERYTHING actually she's still sore about that so instead of trolling him on it she just decides to be honest.]
Don't get me wrong. My weapon comes in three pieces and they sent each piece back on its own in really stupid ways. But at least it does actually get here. I guess if you have a unique kind of weapon it's worth doing. If it's just a standard sword or whatever, you're better off reforging or buying a new one.

We all have our differences. [Some of us being way more antisocial than others, as an example--] But I think we can all agree on the fact that the Atroma are a bunch of assholes.
action
[............and that's it. Cloud clears his throat and finally looks her in the face again, and this time he actually almost manages to hold it.] Is that all?
action
Nah. Not today, anyway.]
Two things-- I got distracted on the fighting point. Until you get a weapon you can use, unless you're some kind of bare-handed expert, pick up a gun from Security and know how to use it. Chances we're getting attacked again are really damn low, but I'd rather no one be caught out.
Secondly, I recommend drinking. There are two bars on the Iskaulit, and a cafe to boot. And some other places. They'll stop you going completely stir crazy while we drift around, probably.
If I think of anything else, I'll look you up, but you can feel free to go now.
action
Thanks for the advice, [he says anyway, even though it was useless (no offense Nami) and he skedaddles as fast as a ske can daddle]
