[Network | The Hospitality Deck - July 8th]

[She awoke peacefully, for the first time since her awakening from cryo-stasis. She was slow to take in her new bedchamber, more concerned at her heart's reluctance to speed up over the foreign surroundings than the actual surroundings themselves. She wasn't alarmed - while uncertain where she'd landed herself, she was at least certain that the structures weren't Galran.

She was still clothed in her combat attire, which means they likely hadn't retired after their battle with Zarkon--and Hagaar. Before she allows her thoughts to drift too far she peers towards the hallway, where voices, though distant, can be heard.]

Pidge? Hunk? [She rises to her feet and makes her way into the hallway. As she wanders, she approaches the entrance to what appears to be...a resort?]

What on...[She mumbles to herself as she walks to the full-panel windows, gazing out into the star-filled spanse. She'll find the others in a moment - this isn't her first time being separated from them, she's certain they'll wander together in a matter of time. She looks down to her communicator and sees the option to query the network.]

Excuse me, [She offers a disarming smile, which always seemed to serve her well in her diplomacy missions, so hopefully it won't fail her now.]--ahem. I mean--[Eh-heh...] Well met, everyone. I am Princess Allura of the Altean race, ally and refuge for the Paladins of Voltron. I look forward to meeting with you all and offer my services in whatever capacity you may wish to utilize them.

[Well done, Allura! Off to a smooth start!]

[...welp. So first it's just him and Keith for a while, and suddenly three others in a row? Shiro can't help but wonder if Hunk and Coran will be here next week. She looks fine, and that's some relief - hearing the story from Keith and actually seeing it are different things.

...if she comes from the same time spot at all. Which he'll find out quickly, he supposes, by seeing how she reacts to him.]

Princess. [Since she's taking things calmly, he does the same, offering a smile. He is happy to see her after all, context aside.] I'm afraid this is very different from your usual diplomacy missions. Are you in the Hospitality Deck?

Princess!

[The gang's getting back together, it seems, piece by piece. Lance smiles brightly and gives a wave, and a wink.]

I bet I can think of some services I'd like to uti--

[Ahem. Okay. That one might be going a little too far.]

Uh, it's good to see you here!

[Allura's eyes light up momentarily at the sign of a response, but the brightness quickly dulls when she registers Keith on her communicator.]

'They'? So you know what's going on?

[She's doing her best to maintain a neutral tone but even she can hear a mildly accusatory undertone in her voice.]

Shiro! [Her voice raises in volume, both joy and relief awash on her face.] You're safe!

[Her smile quickly vanishes and she's struck with a look of horror.] You. Are safe...aren't you?

[No smile for you Lance. As soon as she saw the other Paladins respond, she knew she'd be regretting those seemingly harmless words...!]

Lance. That offer was for anyone in distress. [You ninny.]

What, I can't be in distress? Maybe I have been, without your radiant presence to keep me going!

[Sigh.]

It would be really unfortunate if you were to be in distress at this precise moment in time, Lance. Seeing that as a Paladin I need you to be--

[What's the word...]

--ready to assist?

[Surely there's no way he could twist that into something flirtatious.

Surely.]

I'll assist you in aaaaaaany way you need me to, Princess.

[Hello, meet Lance.]

[Keith pulled back a little at her tone. Well, then. Apparently, she's far enough along in time that she knows that about him.]

Not entirely, but a lot of people are working to figure it out what we weren't told in the welcome message.

Are you hurt at all?

Very well.

[She's just going to ignore that, tyvm.]

Since you seem to lack concern about this whole--[Her hand waves off-screen to gesture at her surroundings.]--set-up, care to explain what I've stumbled upon here?

[Ah. That answers that question. The answer is complicated, but better keep it simple until he fills her in.

A nod.] I am - we all are. Keith, Lance and Pidge are here too, in this ship. I'll find you and we can talk better. Can you tell me where you are?

I'm fine.

[She wasn't ~~just being short, she honestly felt more refreshed than she'd had in quintents.]~~

Why, are you--is anyone else hurt?

Where's Hunk? [A tinge of worry laces her voice, and her brows knit together as she leans in to her communicator. Her tone escalates--] Where's Coran?!

No. Everyone who's here is okay. [So far. Keith would take what small pluses he could get, really. He was genuinely glad she was okay.]

Are you assigned to a ship, yet? Or are you still on the Marsiva?

[He puts his hands up.] Calm down, please. I know this isn't easy, but hear me out. They aren't here, but that only means they are still back in our own universe. Safe in the castle.

[Allura looks up and around.] Pretty sure this is a hub I'm in. I assume that's the Marsiva?

Back in th--[She drifts off, her eyes lowering in thought.

She takes a moment to digest Shiro's words. 'Safe.' 'Our own universe.' She closes her eyes and takes a small breath before opening them and looking back at Shiro.]

So we're in some sort of pocket dimension.

[Keith nodded.]

We're all still on that ship for now. There seems to be some weird thing going on at the moment involving being in each other's dreams. [He definitely didn't like that.] There have been some other... glitches, too. I'm not really sure how to explain it.

I think I can get to you. Unless one of the others is already on their way.

[He'd noticed the network traffic. If she'd rather have Shiro or Lance, he'd understand. He might be a little hurt, but he'd understand.]

[Allura looks up and around again.] You are? I don't--where are you?

[She looks back to him.] I just got out of what I think was a sleep chamber--I haven't run into anyone I recognize yet. [She's talking to others but she's no idea where they are.]

[Though wait. Back up.] What do you mean--'glitches'?

I've been here for like..a month, and most of that has been apparently different from how things run as usual around here, so Keith or Shiro might be able to answer your questions better. What I do know is that we've been tossed into a reality show. In space. I don't know if you guys had reality shows back on Altea, but like...

[Hand wave.]

There are invisible cameras all around us or something, and we're the stars of a show. Viewers throughout the universe are watching our every move with baited breath and a tub of popcorn.

[He nodded.]

It probably has your name on the door, yeah?

I'm in a common area. There's a large screen, some couches, and a few booths. It's hard to miss.

[He took a moment to figure out what he needed to say to get his point across about the glitches.]

As far as the glitches, well, I saw some weird panels in the wall the other day, but they aren't there anymore. It's like the ship's hiding them, but whatever system is keeping us from seeing them is breaking down. Quite a few of us have been finding stuff like that. I took some notes about it.

[He wasn't sure if he should tell her about the weird energy he's been sensing, though. He was the only one of the Paladins who had so far, and he had a feeling it was related to the fact that he'd been able to sense the Blue Lion before Lance bonded with her. Allura might even be able to pick up on the energy on the Marsiva herself at some point, but he left it unsaid for now.]

A 'reality show'?

[Allura scrunches her nose for a moment, eyes cast to the side as she jogs her memory for mention of such a thing before--oh. Oh! Her eyes grow round and a smile lights up her face as she snaps her fingers and points--] Like 'Last Kiplar on the Fentlack'! Ha!

[She snorts a laugh and blushes slightly, mildly embarrassed at even admitting she knew such a show--] That show was such a mess..!

[Allura blushes at the question. She hadn't even bothered to look - of course Keith would notice things like that. That's what he does.]

...The Common Area...I'll come find you. I want to know more about these 'glitches' you're talking about. I'm getting this feeling that this place isn't as safe as it's making itself out to be. Am I mistaken?

[She keeps her voice low so as to keep the conversation just between them--though she wonders if she's deluding herself. Either way, she starts walking, trying to observe at least a bit more than she had when leaving the bed chamber.]

[At least she's calming down. Good.]

More like an alternative universe. Princess, it will be better if we speak in person. Where are you? Hospitality deck? Recreation area? Rooms?
