Who: Allura and all the peoples! (Please?)
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: HS Marsiva
When: July 8th
[Network | The Hospitality Deck - July 8th]
[She awoke peacefully, for the first time since her awakening from cryo-stasis. She was slow to take in her new bedchamber, more concerned at her heart's reluctance to speed up over the foreign surroundings than the actual surroundings themselves. She wasn't alarmed - while uncertain where she'd landed herself, she was at least certain that the structures weren't Galran.
She was still clothed in her combat attire, which means they likely hadn't retired after their battle with Zarkon--and Hagaar. Before she allows her thoughts to drift too far she peers towards the hallway, where voices, though distant, can be heard.]
Pidge? Hunk? [She rises to her feet and makes her way into the hallway. As she wanders, she approaches the entrance to what appears to be...a resort?]
What on...[She mumbles to herself as she walks to the full-panel windows, gazing out into the star-filled spanse. She'll find the others in a moment - this isn't her first time being separated from them, she's certain they'll wander together in a matter of time. She looks down to her communicator and sees the option to query the network.]
Excuse me, [She offers a disarming smile, which always seemed to serve her well in her diplomacy missions, so hopefully it won't fail her now.]--ahem. I mean--[Eh-heh...] Well met, everyone. I am Princess Allura of the Altean race, ally and refuge for the Paladins of Voltron. I look forward to meeting with you all and offer my services in whatever capacity you may wish to utilize them.
[Well done, Allura! Off to a smooth start!]

Re: [ video ]
It probably has your name on the door, yeah?
I'm in a common area. There's a large screen, some couches, and a few booths. It's hard to miss.
[He took a moment to figure out what he needed to say to get his point across about the glitches.]
As far as the glitches, well, I saw some weird panels in the wall the other day, but they aren't there anymore. It's like the ship's hiding them, but whatever system is keeping us from seeing them is breaking down. Quite a few of us have been finding stuff like that. I took some notes about it.
[He wasn't sure if he should tell her about the weird energy he's been sensing, though. He was the only one of the Paladins who had so far, and he had a feeling it was related to the fact that he'd been able to sense the Blue Lion before Lance bonded with her. Allura might even be able to pick up on the energy on the Marsiva herself at some point, but he left it unsaid for now.]
[ video ]
...The Common Area...I'll come find you. I want to know more about these 'glitches' you're talking about. I'm getting this feeling that this place isn't as safe as it's making itself out to be. Am I mistaken?
[She keeps her voice low so as to keep the conversation just between them--though she wonders if she's deluding herself. Either way, she starts walking, trying to observe at least a bit more than she had when leaving the bed chamber.]
Re: [ video ]
[Which... Keith was honestly a bit surprised. Her initial reaction at seeing him made him wary and a little cautious, but she seemed okay with at least talking business with him. He supposed that was a good sign, at least. It was better than her completely not talking to him at all. He'd honestly been a little nervous that she would have completely ignored his call.]
[ video ]
Sounds like a plan. I think Shiro will be joining us.
[She'll be on her best behavior.]
Re: [ video ]
Okay.
[Well, at least having Shiro there might make for a good buffer to avoid things getting too awkward, right? He looked down and away from the video for a moment.]
I'll see you when you get here, then.
[He moved to turn off the communicator, and would if she didn't stop him first.]
Action!
Allura didn't stop Keith as he turned off the communicator, shrugging it off as him just being moody, as he often was. She dragged her feet in getting to the Common Area in hopes that perhaps Shiro would arrive before her, seeing as he was more familiar with the layout and all.
Buuuuut no such luck. Allura could feel the tension in her shoulders as she arrived in the common area, instantly spotting Keith. She hesitated on signaling him with a wave, but quickly realized that to not do so would essentially be sneaking up on him.]
K...Keith! [She stuck a hand up in the air half-heartedly, summoning forth the most sterile of smiles she could muster.]
Re: Action!
For a second, he glanced around to see if Shiro had arrived, yet, but he hadn't, so Keith focused back on Allura as she came over.]
Hey.
Action!
You're well?
[See? She can do clipped responses too.]
Action
Keith's brow furrowed a little, and he dropped his gaze.]
As well as I can be in the situation.
[It was easier to look at his hands at the moment. Unlike Hunk, Keith wasn't ready to stand up to her about this. He kind of hated what it all meant and was confused and had so many questions about things, and he had no idea where to start. And Allura being mad at him didn't even seem like all that terrible of a thing. For all he knew, one of his ancestors was the one of the Galra that had destroyed her home planet.
So, he just took it.
It was better to focus on things anyway... not them.]
As for the glitches... [He produced a small notebook. It looked old in style, as it had been given to him by someone from a pre-technology world. He opened it up. He had a ton of things written in it already, but all in human English.] I wrote down what I had been able to find so far.
There's other stuff in here, too, and, once we're all transferred off the Marsiva again, and have access to the Iskaulit, I can show you where some of the various Fleet members have been stashing other information they've discovered. We thought it might help to keep a record of everything that's been found.
[Keith wasn't sure if Allura was familiar enough with Earth languages to know what he had written down, but he was willing to read it to her if she needed him to.]
Action
Pidge is here, right? Maybe we should go over this information together. [Engineering and all that.]
Have you been doing a great deal of research on this place since you arrived? [Which, come to think of it, was how long, exactly?]

Princess. Keith. [He gives Keith a look of silent communication (alright there, bro?) before turning to Allura.] Welcome to the Fleet. How much do you understand so far?
no subject
[There were a few diagrams and sketches in the notebook, too. Keith was nothing if not thorough when he was gathering information.
He looked up when he heard Shiro approaching. His brow creased a little in response to Shiro's look. He was dealing, but it wasn't great.]

I--[Her mood dampened when she looked to the book, and the Paladin who held it.] I'm getting the important details down fairly quick. 'Trapped,' 'subject to broadcast scrutiny,' 'alternate reality' and 'glitches'--did I miss anything? [She turned to Keith, more at ease with addressing him now that, with Shiro as a buffer, she could act in a more official capacity.]
no subject
That's the overall idea. They make us live in their ships and visit different planets for their entertainment. [And he doesn't sound amused at the idea.] Princess, what is the last thing your remember from home?
[He has an idea! But just in case.]
no subject
He did, however, back down from the conversation, letting Shiro handle it.
One of the benefits of being a normally quiet person was that, hopefully, neither of them would notice his lack of contribution... or, if they did, they'd think it was just Keith being himself. At least, that was what he was hoping for.]
