Who: Rick Grimes and You. (OTA).
Broadcast: Fleetwide.
Action: All around (the ships, Iskaulit etc).
When: Now and onward! Basically, catch all for July.
A. Exploring/Investigation.
[ Given there are now more places to roam around and with his job as security, Rick will be doing just that. No matter where he might be, Rick will have paper and pen in hand, making notes that might appear to not make any sense given they'll be in morse code. He'll also ask questions to anyone who wanders by him, especially about the augments and job details.
When it comes to being on the Iskaulit, Rick will be trying to be find edible food and working out. He needs to run off excess nerves and energy. Also, trying to find a decent drink. So, bother him. ]
B. Glitch!
[ A slight augment glitch will make it so Rick sounds British for a little while but still with hints of his country twang and speech patterns. It'll be a mess and completely frustrating for him. ]
C. Video.
[ Another sudden change left Rick more frustrated than ever but the loss of Daryl and Maggie just twisted a knife worse in him. What happened? Did they return home or had something far worse happened to them? He wanted to believe the former but experience led him to always holding onto the latter.
With a deep sigh, he grabbed for the device to see what the network had to say about things. ]
Everyone is in different places now? [ He paused with a frown. ] Do people leave a lot? Just without warnin'? [ Now, he shook his head, looking sad for a moment. ]
If anybody needs any help with target practice, let me know. [ It would make things feel a little more level for him. Almost like how things were in Alexandria. ]
D. Wild Card.
[ anything else not listed above! if anyone wants to plot or want a starter, hit me up at
snowflakecrowns. also, the glitch will basically be Rick with Andrew Lincoln's accent. can be listened to here and Rick's accent here! ]

He nodded.]
Thanks... I'll keep it in mind.
[He studied Rick for just a tiny moment.]
Are you a fighter, too?
{OOC: All the angst.}

[ He walked further into the area, the guy's voice nearly uncanny but he tried to not dwell too long on it. The pain felt too raw, especially with the blurring of Glenn's voice to this guy's. ]
Rick. Rick Grimes. [ Holding out his hand, he gestured to the sandbag. ] Could show ya a few things if you wanted.

[He glanced at the bag for a moment, curious.]
Okay.
[He didn't know much about Rick's fight skills, but he was wondering just what this guy thought he could show him. Between his own martial arts training, what he'd learned from practicing with Shiro, and the hand-to-hand he learned at the Garrison, Keith had adopted an interesting style, to say the least, but it worked for him. Throw in the bladed weapons he was learning to fight with since becoming a Paladin, and it was even more interesting.
Of course, Keith could be cocky about his fighting and piloting skills, so he could be completely wrong here.]

Shaking the guy's hand, he tried to not dwell too much on the similar sounding voice. It kept making his heart leap into his throat. Instead, he moved over to the bag, letting it swing a little, picking up momentum because attacking rarely involved stationary targets. Then without warning he struck out towards the top of the bag. ]
Pressure points matter and disarmin' an opponent can give ya enough time to finish things or get away. Sometimes best offensive can be a defense. Isn't all 'bout bein' the stronger one. It's 'bout calculatin' and bein' the smarter one.

Makes sense.
[It did. He considered the bag for a moment, visualizing where it was that Rick had hit it and wondering how that would work against alien opponents with different physiology. Learning which pressure points applied to which race could be potentially problematic... especially when trying to remember them all.]
I'm guessing you usually only fight humans, huh?
[He did reach out and stop the bag from swinging for a second, and then gave it a light push again to set it into motion for his own angle before striking out with his own attack. It wasn't exactly like Rick's, as Rick was definitely taller, but he hit almost the exact same spots on the bag and definitely just as fast. He was a quick learner when it came to movement, and the most agile of his team.]

Just about. [ The question told him more than enough of other things Keith must have faced. ] Fights usually aren't just with one opponent. You wanna end each one as quickly as ya can. If they're a different kind - you always go for a head shot or where their life source is.
[ A heart, typically but other organs hurt just as much, depending on the other training level of the opponent. Some were able to endure all kinds of pain and keep going. A feat he managed more than once. ]
Never try an'go for the legs. Some think that'd be a good play but it's too dangerous.
no subject
Yeah? Seems to work when you go underneath the laser beams they're shooting at you.
[Keith smirked a little, but he could see the point in more hand-to-hand combat. If someone had a bladed weapon, they could bring it down on top of him if he was low. Still, Keith wasn't exactly tall, and had been going against some opponents who were much larger and taller than himself recently. He had been learning to try and aim higher with his hits.]
But, yeah. I can see that.
[Keith could adapt, definitely. He just needed the motivation to, and also someone to compare against. If given someone to learn from and change his style against, he could.]

You dealt with opponents shootin' laser beams at ya? [ Ducking and being low would make more sense then. ] Can't say I've ever had that experience. Mostly dealt with those tryin' to kill in the more traditional ways.

[Keith gave a slightly sheepish shrug.]
It's been a lot of robotic drones, too, so they're easy to predict right now. But, I know that's not going to last forever. Eventually, we're going to come up against more actual living sentries and soldiers if things keep moving forward.

They have anythin' round here to practice with that sorta thing?
no subject
[He considered that for a moment.]
It would be handy, though. More challenging than just a bag hanging from the ceiling.

Someone might be able to make somethin'? Or might be able to find somethin' when we dock.
[ Something he still had trouble believing actually happened but then again he never thought he'd wind up in space either. ]

[He shrugged a little, with a small smile.]
So, where'd you learn to fight?
