[ As the feed clicks on, the first thing the view can see is the face of one Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, seated upon her bed which has been neatly made. As a matter of fact, everything in the small space she calls a bedroom looks clean and tidy, as if no one has been sleeping or living in it. There is a very distinguishable lump under the sheets, though -- if one looks hard enough, they may see a tuft or two of midnight black fur. A certain pup has taken residence in her bed, it would seem. But that isn't the point of this broadcast. She flashes a tired smile. ]

Good evening, everyone. I wanted to issue out a formal apology for those of you whom may have seen some things a few days ago. [ Oh, you remember. During calibrations. ] I pray that you will forgive me for any trouble being stuck with me may have caused, or the visions you may have seen.

[ With that said, she offers a tiny, apologetic bow. She knows not all of the visions -- memories, whatever they were -- were not the most pleasant, and she truly does regret that people had to see any of them at all. But she straightens soon enough, hands folding in her lap once more. ]

Even with the chaos, I managed to meet some wonderful new people, and I must say I feel extremely blessed to have made such wonderful friends within the fleet. [ Ya'll know who she's talking about. ] There are even more people here now, and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. I especially look forward to meeting and getting to know all of my new crew mates. Bless you all.

[ Just before the feed cuts, Luna can be seen offering one more polite bow. For those aboard the the First Breath, feel free to come hang out with her. Meet Umbra! Just say hello! ]

While that is true, I am not so sure about that. They have chosen us for a reason... I don't think we have reached the level of uselessness to them to worry. Not just yet, at least.

But you are absolutely right, Cloud. It's best to err on the side of caution.

I guess I'm just used to things happening without reason. [Mostly bad things. Almost always at the nonsensical whim of someone else.] You'll have to hold onto that faith for the both of us, if you don't mind.

I will gladly hold onto it. From what I have seen, other than what happened a few days ago, nothing has been that bad yet. However, I've heard stories of space bandits attacking the fleet. [ She shrugs a little. ] I am sure we are in for quite the ride, but at the very least we can be positive about it, right?

[moseyin]

[Oh yeah, he'd heard about that bandit thing too. HE ALWAYS MISSES THE GOOD (?) STUFF. Maybe at least in that kind of situation he could've been useful.]

Uh, okay, positivity... [He's generally better with motivational speeches of the 'we maybe will all die but we've all got a reason to want to stab this motherfucker so let's do it' variety but for Luna, he'll try] At least we're not in danger of starving to death or dying of thirst. Or suffocating. [Important! They have most basic necessities.]

[ THAT IS NOT A GOOD THING CLOUD. He should be glad he missed it!!!

Luna's smile widens, and she clasps her hands together, nodding her head. ] These are all indeed very good things! What little we have can be used to our advantage, even if it is just gel. Oxygen is also wonderful!

[moseyin]

You're that jazzed about oxygen, huh? [snort] What I'm getting here is not so much be positive, but just set your standards really, really low.

[luxoraculi]

Oh, come now! [ She almost pouts. Look at what you have done to the refined Oracle, Cloud. ] Positivity is a wonderful thing, and oxygen is something to be grateful for considering that we are, in fact, very much alive. What good does being negative do, hm? Allow me to answer for you, my dear friend: it does no good. It is best to keep a positive outlook on everything... we would all go insane otherwise.

[moseyin]

[yeah he sees it and it's fuckin cute as shit] ...there's some truth to that, I guess, but you make it sound a lot easier than it actually is. I mean, how do you find the balance between positivity and realism?

[ Bruh come on, u gotta focus on POSITIVITY!!! ] One finds the balance simply by having hope. Hope means everything to people. Without it, what do any of us really have, hm?

Spite goes pretty far. ...but yeah, hope is better. [Objectively speaking.]

Yes... yes, spite does go far. It can span entire lifetimes... [ Lookin' at u, Ardyn. ] but so can hope. Nothing good comes from spite, it twists people in all the wrong ways.

[moseyin]

Don't gotta tell me that. [He's seen the kind of monsters that can come from revenge and spit and hatefulness. He's been one of them, a couple times.] Sounds like you're speaking from experience, though.

I have seen many people fall victim to spite. [ Ravus, that foolish Emperor... but out of all of them, there's one that stands out most and for damn good reason. At least Ravus had gotten his shit together at the end. ] ...Have you met a man named Ardyn Izunia? He is from my world, and is one of the most spite filled men I've ever had the misfortune of meeting.

Can't say I have. Someone I should keep an eye out for? [If Luna doesn't like him, then sure, Cloud's willing to jump to conclusions.]

Yes, someone to keep an eye out for and to stay away from. That man brings nothing but suffering. [ Suffering and death, but only one person knows about THAT and she's not going to dump that on Cloud's head right now. ]

What's he look like? [DEETS, SIS. cloud's not saying he'll hate-stalk this guy but he might hate-stalk this guy a lil bit]

Ah... well, he wears a brown fedora. And an old brown jacket. His.. sense of fashion is extremely questionable. [ BRO literally look for the guy who looks like he crawled out of a slow burning dumpster fire YOU'LL SEE HIM. ] He has a presence about him that, despite his fashion choices, seems quite charming depending on what he is trying to accomplish. Charming, or extremely obnoxious... it could go either way, really.

[this is quite possibly the most like a mean girl cloud's heard luna sound, which might not be impressive considering they haven't spoken much, but he just didn't expect it okay]

[ Look man, Luna has some Complicated Feelings when it comes to Ardyn, and Noctis has only shed more light on the man and has informed her of some Terrible Things that he's done even after she's been gone. She doesn't shit talk people lightly, okay. ]

Please be safe around him... he uses his words to his advantage, and while he may not seem like much, he is. He holds terrifying power.
