+1 tiny invisible child
Who: Mikleo, OTA
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Huntress, Iskaulit
When: Now-ish!
( video; )
[The communicator comes on with a shaking motion, revealing a captain-sized bedroom decorated with various nerdery; those who've been there will recognize it as Mikleo's. That fact is fully cemented when the camera zeros in on Sorey, asleep on the bed with the sheets half-kicked. The communicator is juggled around, then back again, zooming in and out as if being played with by someone who doesn't know what they're doing. It's quiet for a long moment until at last a voice speaks up- young, maybe six or seven, sounding incredulous and very confused.]
How long... did I sleep...
[Sorey stirs then, and the voice yelps quietly and rolls off the bed, communicator turning off in the process.]
( action; huntress )
[There's a little boy wandering cautiously through the halls, poking into rooms if the door is unlocked, gawking at just about everything he sees. He'll be initially shy around strangers, especially any non-seraph and extra especially around humans, but he's a curious sort, so expect to be grilled for information once you prove to be harmless.]
( action; iskaulit )
[At some point he'll make his way over to the other ship, courtesy of one of his shipmates, and that's when the exploring really begins. He'll get into everything he possibly can in this place- every open and available room, every nook and cranny, even the accessible vents, here and there. He's in the library (oh, the library), the garden, the interfaith center, his water room. He's clearly not afraid to poke around unknown places, either.
Just like on the Huntress, the presence of others will make him wary, and humans (or those who carry some malevolence) will get double-caution out of him, but curiosity won't kill this cat. That's the idea, anyway.
Sorey's probably nearby, being the hovery-protective sort that he is, but that's mostly so any malevolence doesn't cause a problem. Mikleo's no longer protected through the sub lord pact, after all.
He may also be accompanied by a baby pengyon, toddling along behind him. Just because.]
((ooc: so yeah mikleo's de-aged for a while, thanks to an augment glitch! he's invisible on camera and his permissions for seeing him in person are here! by now he should be visible to his whole crew. ))

[Mikleo mulls that over quietly, looking down at the hand around his own. It's so much bigger than he remembers, and it makes it really hit home what his current situation is- stuck in the middle of nowhere on some strange ship without Gramps, without anyone he knows except Sorey who's awfully different from how he used to be. It's... pretty scary, actually. He'll have to figure out how to deal with this properly. Though he's not quite sure what Sorey means about the domain- he can clearly feel one, even if it's a little off from than he's used to.
Well, he'll figure that out later. For now he reaches up with his free hand, brushing it through Sorey's hair, his expression conflicted; he's still kind of sad about what's happened, but at the very least, Sorey's still here. And he's still hopeless without someone to help him out.]
You forgot to brush your hair.

Maybe...maybe Mikleo needs this. Some semblance of normalcy, some kind of familiarity. Sorey fetches his comb from where he'd dropped it onto the bed, holding it out for Mikleo.] You're right. Could I get you to do it for me?
no subject
[He tries to sound resigned to the task, but in truth, he's relieved for the normalcy of it, and he's too young to conceal it with the ease he does when he's older. He accepts the comb and waits until Sorey is seated in front of him, brushing it gently through Sorey's hair to get the tangles of sleep out.]
You keep it the same way as always, huh?

[But he still keeps it to Sorey's usual style, anyway, floofing it in all the right angles with practiced ease- it's the same hair, the same feel, just a bigger head, meaning there's more of it. It requires a bit of practice but it doesn't take him very long to get it right.
He pauses then, a little reluctant to pull back, but before he does he notices something- or rather, he realizes what he'd been noticing the last little while. Hastily he drops the comb and slides off the bed to face Sorey directly, arms outstretched to pat his chest, eyes wide.]
Where is it... are you carrying something? An artifact, or- or some blessed item from Gramps...?
no subject
But honestly the question would've come up sooner or later after Sorey told him they weren't in Elysia. Besides, if Mikleo knows Sorey's the one with the domain, native he'll be more careful about straying too far out of its protective reach.] Uhhh, the domain, right?
It's no artifact, Mikleo. [Takes Mikleo's hands in his to lower them.] It's, um, mine. I'm a Shepherd.
no subject
What? No way.
[Sorey can't be the Shepherd- Shepherds are big, powerful, noble heroes of the world. Shepherds travel the world fighting hellions, purifying evil, righting wrongs. Shepherds are a big deal. Sorey is, like... Sorey.]

no subject
Well...! Who would believe something like that? Shepherds are supposed to be serious, aren't they? The Celestial Record goes on and on about how big and important they are!

[Mikleo flails, his cheeks going bright red - how dare!! how dare!!! - and tries to reach down to pull at Sorey's hair.]
Put me down right now! Not fair! That's not fair!
no subject
Sorey lowers Mikleo down to his lap but doesn't dare try to pull him away with his fists around his hair like that.] Okay, okay. I get it, no abusing my superior physical strength.
no subject
[Mikleo puffs out his cheeks, giving Sorey the best annoyed pout that he can muster.]
It's weird, though... you're really a Shepherd now? No fibbing?
no subject

For a moment, he's torn on how he ought to feel, but finally he scrunches his face up stubbornly and nods.]
Right... okay, then! A Shepherd needs seraphim to help him, so now that I'm awake, I'm gonna do that.
no subject
Do you believe me about me knowing you when you're older? Because I do, and we travel all around Glenwood together, and you're the strongest water seraph there is.
no subject
[Sorey had said that first bit before, sure- that he's supposed to be bigger, that this is some sort of anomaly - but the rest? How is that even possible? He can't do any fancy artes yet, he's never even left Elysia until now, and Sorey...]
But I don't... remember any of that. And I'm still little.
no subject
Think of it like...time-travelling. Like, maybe you jumped over a decade into the future, and that's how this happened.
no subject
[Which is admittedly just par for the course.]
You're not a liar, though, so it must be true somehow.

no subject
What am I supposed to do, though? I can't do anything like this!

Right, of course; even if he's older, of course Mikleo is still going to look at this the same way. He's been watching over Sorey since before he could even walk.] Well...you already combed my hair. And helped me get dressed.
no subject
[Though he's not really surprised that Sorey still manages to forget that sort of thing. He's always rushing around doing this or that, and his priorities are pretty unique.]
