Sooo, I've been training with that knife throwing. If you put a target on a wall, i could hit inside it about 95% of the time now.

[ Bright grin. She is so here for this. As much for spending time with Cass as any actual training they get done. ] I'm already on my way.

And if you don't teaching me again... I'd like that. We haven't been able to train together since... before I was Robin. Geez. It feels like forever.

That's really good! How big... is the target?

We'll fix it. You're probably... pretty rusty, huh?

[ Snort. ] Not that rusty. I was still training with Batman until recently...

[ Batman's not up to Cass' level - no one is - but he pushed her. Hard. She's better now than she was the last time she and Cass played... she's pretty sure. ]

Give me half an hour and I'll be there, okay?

Would wait forever, for you. [She's about to say there's no rush, but fuck that.] Can still hurry, though. Won't hurt anything.

[ She flushes a little, ducks her head and laughs. ] I'll see what I can do.

[ She hangs up, and tries to get to the training yard as quickly as she can so she doesn't keep Cass waiting. She bounces a little when she spots Cass there, her steps speeding up even more. Cass is so getting a hug before they start trying to concuss each other.

Or. Well. Cass will concuss her, possibly. Steph will just do her best to make contact. ]

[ clearly the girl with the broken nose wants to be in on this. Six feet tall if she's an inch, and she definitely moves like someone who's pretty confident in her ability to hold her own in a fight.

But hey, she saw this and had to go check it out. ]

[Honestly, Cass will do her best not to cause any lasting damage. Causing Stephanie pain is never, has never been a thing Cass had any desire to do. Nope, she'd much rather just hug her forever.

So when the other girl shows up, Cass hugs her tight and buries her face in her hair, not entirely keen to let go any time soon.]

That's me. Have gotten a few, but there's... room for more. If you're interested.

Yeah, I mean, I've had a lot of training for as long as I can remember, but if nothing else, I never turn down a good spar.

[ She hasn't discounted Cass entirely as a potential threat, of course - smaller people tend to be pretty speedy, and even with her enhanced speed, she's pretty big and they can give her a run for her money sometimes. Plus she's still only 17, still not a match for even her youngest cousins (at 45).

But realistically, she thinks she can probably take this girl. ]

[ Steph has no problem with this. She hugs her tightly, perfectly happy not to loosen her grip until Cass seems like she's ready to let go. ]

Hey. You should come by more often. We've got a spare bunk for you on the First Breath, you know.

Put in papers. They just... didn't let me. I tried.

Always up for sparring. Do you have... specific style in mind? Or just anything?

[ Tay shrugs one shoulder ]

I've got bits and pieces of some styles, mostly I'm just a brawler, though. Hit hard, hit fast, break the other guy's jaw before they break mine sorta thing.

I know. [ She smiles a little. ] You can still stay over. As long as you want. I checked with Tim, no one's gonna stop you.

Need someone to demonstrate your throws and holds on?

I have very little combat experience, but if you'd be willing to spar, I need to sharpen my skills.

No one could.

[There's absolutely no question about that. It would take an army to keep Cass away from Stephanie at this point, and even now she isn't particularly interested in sparring anymore. She just wants this, to hold her and keep her close.]

[That sounds incredibly promising, actually. With a nod, Cass motions for Tay to follow her.]

There's more room... in the woods. No one will... stop us there.

[Because if they do it right it'll look like they're trying to kill each other.]

Hadn't really planned... to do demonstrations. Just one on one. Can throw you around, though. If you're bored.
