Who: Kaworu Nagisa, anyone unfortunate enough to view and respond to this post
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: he's likely on the Vanquish... being questionable
When: midmorning 7/24
Did you know you're able to buy summer loving delicacies in bulk enough to keep your summer loving always young at heart?
Also, did you know phosphorescent marshmallows are a summer loving delicacy?
Also, did you know that buying a specified number of these bulk products automatically enters you as eligible to win a lifetime supply (limit 300 years, not bad) of the summer loving delicacy?
That's what I heard. Sounds great, doesn't it? I'm pretty excited. I hope I win. But I wanted to mention the chance of winning to the rest of you, too.
[Moments later...]
I'd never thought of this before, but surplus makes a lot of people seem very much more cheerful.

[Well, that would explain why Kaworu never finds fault with his cooking...]

You've even conditioned me into lunch time. It's remarkable, you know.

[But it is a little remarkable, if he really thinks about it. An Angel doesn't even need to eat in the first place. An Angel doesn't need to do any maintenance like that. But routines have always comforted Shinji, and they're even more comforting now, when all these other things are in flux. Maybe Kaworu is receiving some comfort from it, too...]
What do you want for lunch today?

[And having a choice like this hasn't gotten any less exciting. It takes Kaworu a moment to cycle through the memories of Shinji's cooking—this and that, or this, or that... Or...]
Croquettes!
[Such a simple thing. He's been consistently amazed with it every time Shinji has made them, though.]
When they're crispy, it's wonderful.

[As Shinji pulls out his little recipe notebook, he pauses to consider just how domestic this is. How perfectly normal it is. It's the sort of normalcy he used to daydream about when he was younger--having somebody to come home to, and cook for, and be loved by. He doesn't want to lose his chance at this. Not ever.]
Could I borrow you for some whisking?
[It's as good an excuse as any to see Kaworu again. Not that he needs an excuse. But, you know...]

[Who knows what his smile is like when he sends that—a quirk, pleased and playful, or dewy with the shine of an actual pledge? He's the type to say that sort of thing with a straight face, after all.]
I'll be there soon.
[Meaning he's leaving now; meaning he's already humming a song in anticipation of Shinji soon hearing it down the Heron's hallways.]
