[as the broadcast begins, he knocks on the receiver with a knuckle, causing all speakers transmitting the message to give nice, sharp little pop noises. just to make sure everyone is listening. and then there is the image of a very pretty man with lavender eyes smirking into the camera.]

This meager allowance that they've started us off with really is a shame, isn't it? Only enough to make one significant purchase... and even then, we must choose between vitals such as palatable food, and those luxuries that keep us sane and happy.

It's almost cruel.

[and with that, he hoists up one of the bottles of alcohol that had been offered for sale on various way-stations, making sure that the camera gets a good view of it.]

I'm not going to make anything with it. Creating really is not my forte at all.

...And I'd tell you what I really want it for, but I doubt you'd believe me with how suspicious you are.

But you really shouldn't be so obvious about it. It's only going to invite even more attention.

So I have been told on several occasions.

But I've also learned that I'll miss out on some good things by not learning how to tell when someone is telling the truth.

Is this a skill you haven't managed to pick up?

Humans, and as I've learned later, other beings are tricksy little fuckers, who have all sorts of ways of hiding if they're being truthful or not. For demons, it's easier, we don't have free will, or rather, we're not supposed to. It's a lot harder to deceive, like that.
