[When he woke up this morning, he hadn't been expecting to find anything for himself. He'd been planning to go back down to the planet again and doing some more exploring, nothing special. Instead, he found something special just sitting on top of his books.

It takes a bit for it to sink in, he has to think about it, but then he flicks on the communicator after dressing and directs it at the "surprise."

It's a cake. With "18!" written on it as obnoxiously as possible with little arcane designs around it.]

You're a month late. My birthday was during the Midsummer Fire Festival.

I never understood the need for humans to celebrate their day of birth with....sugared cakes.

[It seem to allude him every time, ever since he was given a cake back aboard the Enterprise those years ago. A surprise party too. He never was one for surprise parties and pointless gatherings as he often called them. A Klingon birthday was much more....bloody and violent, often mixed with more drink.]

[Khadgar gives a little shrug.]

I think it's because some people don't eat sweet things normally. Or maybe because some families couldn't afford sweets normally.

Honestly, I would rather have celebrated with a trip to the Darkmoon Faire. That's not quite an option here though, unfortunately.

I do not see the point of eating sweet things at all just because it is your birthday. Humans can be....strange at the best of times. You are human, are you not?

Well, it's your birthday. It's supposed to be a celebration, and you usually get treated on special days like that. [Khadgar can't even judge. He's friends with a half orc back home and unknowingly befriended a blood elf here. Not that he cares about Alliance versus Horde.]

Treated? I have come to realise that humans seem to enjoy spending time eating sugary treats to....indulge each other with. If it were a Klingon's day of birth he would celebrate with comrades, share tales of battle and partake in drinking blood wine and having a battle with another. The joy of the fight is what reunites Klingons on their special day.

[Yes, but there are no other Klingons aboard, Worf. Sorry.]

We, ah, we didn't really do that among the Kirin Tor. We got honey cakes to celebrate when we were younger. [They don't really do that at all on Azeroth.]

Who are the Kirin Tor?

[Were they enemies of this man? He didn't even know who his father was! An utter disgrace if he were a Klingon warrior. Every son must know he was born from, so he can carry on the family name into battle.]

[He's not used to people who can't teleport. It's such a common skill among mages on Azeroth!]

I think I saw them in passing, if we're thinking of the same one. [By passing, he means the shuttle, of course. But he does make sure the coordinates match, just in case.]

I can, just let me grab some chalk. I'm still practicing teleporting without runes so better safe than sorry. [A few minutes later though, he'll be appearing nearby her on the Bloodsport, several items getting pushed back and away from him as he appears.]

[Yeah, that oh shit face was definitely back and she nearly clapped with glee.]

Okay, that's pretty awesome. The only times I've teleported were when I let an angel use me as his vessel. So, this will be different.

[She squinted a little.]

Does the chalk disappear once you've teleported?

I've been doing some shopping on the planet and found some herbs I can use for a potion. I just have to channel some mana into them and experiment but by the end if the month, we may be able to try breaking your curse.

This system is great for a lot of things it seems. Their herbs and everything are non-magical though, so I have to infuse it all first and find which ones are most like what I'm familiar with.
