[Anyone on the Marsiva can find a short fussy elf if they'd like. He spends most of his time in the kitchen trying to figure out what weird-ass ingredients he's supposed to cook with, but he can also be found just... staring outside the window.]

[This is not Belthazar's first rodeo. He's not going to sit here and play with the console for your entertainment. He figures it out in about two seconds, being familiar with comm devices already, and he is furious. The look he gives and his tone are ice cold. That combined with the glowing green eyes is a pretty freaky effect, but he looks and sounds fairly young.]

Is this some kind of game, Initiative? I am DONE. Do you understand? This is unacceptable. I did not ask to be removed from my property, and my books-- [oh, he is so angry about his books]-- and I have studies I must attend to. My arcane research is infinitely more important than your misguided sloppy war or your failed attempts at entertainment, which I assume this is supposed to be.

[He leans back, looking about as severe as a fifteen year old can look.]

Yeah. It is sweet, but as long as you don't go overboard it won't be too overpowering.

[Kairi watches him, her eyebrows lifting only slightly at his request. Was he really that concerned about it being edible? Well, if he had never seen it before, she could understand why. But she knows it is, so she's still smiling as he chews on it.]

I will, but I think you'll be all right. How does it taste?

[His expression is hard to place. Somewhat disgusted, but also fascinated...]

I appear to still have a pulse. And it does not taste nearly as bad as canned vegetables.

[That's something. He feels a little bad scarfing food down in front of a lady without offering any, and he's actually... not that hungry. More just... curious and wanting to experiment. After a moment of deliberation, he sets the knife down.]

[Kairi can't help but laugh a little.]

I knew you'd be okay. I don't think they'd serve it if it killed everyone. And you haven't tasted bad food until you've had meat served from a can.

[She blinks in surprise, not having expected the offer. Did he really dislike it that much, in spite of his admission?]

Oh, um, if you don't want it, I can take a few bites. I ate a little while ago.

[Belth wrinkles his nose.] Don't remind me.

[He's-- not expecting Kairi to go along with that though, and now he realizes he's blushing. Too late to hide though. He grabs a new fork-- since the other one had his mouth on it-- and offers her the plate.]

I-I've already eaten. Besides, I would not like to be impolite.

[The blush doesn't go unnoticed, though Kairi doesn't say anything in regards to it. She's not even sure what he's blushing about, honestly.]

Oh, thank you. [She takes the plate and fork, and stabs a piece of food. After she pops it into her mouth, she chews quietly for a moment, before smiling and nodding.] It's pretty good. The teriyaki sauce isn't as sweet as I'd thought it'd be. Usually the packaged kind is.

What is teriyaki sauce made of? Perhaps I can find the ingredients and make something less...

[He stares at the gel with disgust.]

Soy sauce, sugar, rice wine... you can add garlic or sesame, or even pineapple juice. Depends on the recipe, really.

[The gel was a little gross, if she's being honest.]

Hopefully you can get your hands on real food soon.
