[ can't do that while stunned. ]

Who: Belthazar & you!
Broadcast: Open to the fleet.
Action: On the Marsiva.
When: A reasonable hour on 3/25

[action;]

[Anyone on the Marsiva can find a short fussy elf if they'd like. He spends most of his time in the kitchen trying to figure out what weird-ass ingredients he's supposed to cook with, but he can also be found just... staring outside the window.]

[This is not Belthazar's first rodeo. He's not going to sit here and play with the console for your entertainment. He figures it out in about two seconds, being familiar with comm devices already, and he is furious. The look he gives and his tone are ice cold. That combined with the glowing green eyes is a pretty freaky effect, but he looks and sounds fairly young.]

Is this some kind of game, Initiative? I am DONE. Do you understand? This is unacceptable. I did not ask to be removed from my property, and my books-- [oh, he is so angry about his books]-- and I have studies I must attend to. My arcane research is infinitely more important than your misguided sloppy war or your failed attempts at entertainment, which I assume this is supposed to be.

[He leans back, looking about as severe as a fifteen year old can look.]

I'm waiting.

[Oof, this kid's a stiff one. Axel grins a little.]

I'm Axel. Nice to meet you... again, I guess. You're not the first person who seems to have met me before, so I'm not really sure what's going on, but I will say I'm glad you remembered me, even if we only talked once. Memorable is what I aim for.

[Hah... memory-wiping... Sounds like Naminé territory, honestly. Axel doesn't really want to think about the idea that his memory might have been tampered with. After all, memories are all a Nobody has, right? If he can't even depend on those, then... what's left?

[He shakes his head quickly to clear it, and is happy for the shift in topic. He lifts a finger importantly.]

Odd? Hardly. In people's memories, you can live forever! So if I can make an impression on the people I meet, then they'll remember me, and I'll be immortal. Especially if they tell other people about me--then I'll be remembered by people I didn't even meet. Who knows how far it could go? It doesn't matter so much to me what I'm remembered for, so long as I'm remembered.

I never met any elves 'til I came here, actually, but there seem to be a lot of you around the Fleet. How long do elves live?

[He looks thoughtful for a moment.]

Well, I mean... of course being remembered for something cool or important would be preferable, but I'll take what I can get.
got_it_memorized: (thanks but no thanks)

[A low whistle.] Four hundred, huh? That's pretty impressive. I guess you probably age more slowly, then; nobody'd want to look ninety for three hundred years. Human ninety, anyway.

[He frowns a little, then shakes his head.]

Well, yeah, the goal isn't to be hated, but immortality is immortality, the way I see it. Sure, I'd rather be remembered as a cool, likable guy. Besides, I think most of the people who hate me aren't around anymore. [Vexen. Zexion. Yeah just... most of the Organization probably hated him by the end, there. Oops. But they're gone, anyway, so it's no big deal, right? (DRAMATIC IRONY.)]

Kid, you're not the first person to tell me that, and you probably won't be the last. Keeps things interesting, though.
