[The video feed starts up focused on - well, it's a blur. Once the camera aligns itself it becomes clear that the camera is pointed out of the window of a train, with high rise towers whipping by at a terrific pace. Zelda turns the communicator back to herself, and boy does she look excited. She's been shopping for one thing - she's wearing clothes that are available in a lot of the stores here. And around her neck hangs a lanyard with what looks like some kind of pass.]

I think it's incredible what this world has achieved in transportation. Quite apart from the flying transports, they have these high-speed trains. I've never seen anything like it before.

[She smiles brightly and holds up her pass.]

As it turns out, you can buy a special ticket as a visitor that lets you have unlimited travel while you're here. They give you little gifts as well, every ten journeys you take. [She doesn't say what these are, but trust me, she's already gotten a few.] So I thought it would be a good opportunity to see how long it takes to travel the entire planet this way! I've already crossed seven districts this week.

[She pulls out another device, which looks like a tablet, and starts tapping on it.]

If my calculations are correct, I should be able to do an entire loop of the planet in the next three days. [Glancing up at the communicator again, she nods her head definitively. This is absolutely her plan for the week.] If anyone would like to join me, I'd be glad for the company. I can let you know the next station I'll be at.

Otherwise, I'd like to hear what you've seen here that surprises you. I could mention so many more things - but I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I did notice their odd fascination with buying and selling. And I never thought I would see any folk better at it than the dwarves!

[hylights]

I find it hard to keep up with... all of the things you can buy here. And so many different types. Did you know, there were ten different versions of this-- [She hefts her tablet, showing it to Maglor] --and they all seemed very similar to me.

[bythewaves]

I, as well. [ He nods and looks at it interestedly ]

What do they all do? I confess, I was only really interested in looking at the instruments.

[hylights]

Oh yes, for your music. Were you able to find anything you could play?

[bythewaves]

There were many things I had not seen before, but in the end I picked up some new songs, rather than an instrument... there is only so much space in my bunk!

[hylights]

[She laughs a little as they approach the train platform. The high-speed train is already there, doors open and waiting.]

That's true - I'm having difficulty choosing between all of the books I want to buy! There are so many that interest me, but they take up so much room.

[bythewaves]

I almost wish we had bigger rooms. [ Maglor agrees, eyeing the train interestedly as they board ]

But then, that would probably only encourage us to buy too much!

[hylights]

There is a way of getting them, I understand. But it means you combine your room with someone else's... so you would want to be close to them before asking for that.

And then you would merely end up with two people's belongings in the one space.

[bythewaves]

My brother suggested it - and we have shared a room before when we were younger! But yoyr pount is a good one, and I really don't think it would have solved the space problem!

[hylights]

You know, perhaps you could claim a room on the Iskaulit, and make it a storage space? There are many empty areas on that ship.

((OOC: I'm heading overseas in a couple of days, so would it be okay to handwave the actual train trip?))

Ah, true! But I wouldn't want to spend all my time there, either. It would probably work as a secondary storage spot though.
