Ssssoooo... anybody I know have a license to fly those space cars? I want to learn how to drive one! But they said I have to be 18 to drive it alone, so I need an adult with me. I can get the autopilot versions, but, um. They kind of freak me out? ...Also they suck. They really, really suck.

[how much do the autopilot hovers suck? Ochako's gone and found out the hard way. she's rented one that is exceptionally glitchy- it really likes to fly upside down, which is why her broadcast looks so weird. This isn't such a terrible thing when your superpower is gravity-erasing, but she can only do that for so long before she loses her lunch, so over the course of the rental she might pass people by doing the following:

1) sitting in her seat, upside down, looking awfully green

2) dangling from her clipped seatbelt like it's a swing, legs kicking

3) carefully climbing down the seatbelt trying to reach the ground

She might need a little bit of help. That's if she doesn't straight-up collide with somebody first. Uh, duck?]

Ah- ahhhh, look out!!

... He was a lot of things. Work was hard to keep steady, where I'm from. Always looked ready for a new job.

Oh, I see! Like a businessman! So respectable. My daddy wears those to meetings with new clients, but he says they're always too stuffy.

[Haaa. Having a normal life, hearing someone talk casually about home, it's... nice. The Wastelands are usually just full of misery, exceptions to the rule of death and destruction rarer as time passes. It's one of the things he can start to slowly appreciate about the fleet; not everyone here is exactly good back home, but there are these little moments where conversations are about family and not about where to fight for guzzoline.

He looks kind of pleased, leaning into his seat more comfortably. Another rarity.]

Mmhm! Me too. I love him.

[She tries not to think too hard about it, because then she'll miss him more than she already does, and she'll end up crashing the car. And that would just spoil the good mood. Especially with him sort of smiling! It's so rare.]

Parents want their kids to be proud of 'em, too. [He stares out the window for a moment, content with her driving skills. His smile is subdued fairly soon, but at least she had a moment of contentment. It's something.] Good to let 'em know you are.

Been stopping a little far back at fourways. It's gonna seem like you're close, but you should be up a bit more. Careful not to roll slow instead of stop; full stop's important. Doing fine, other than that.
