Would anyone be interested in learning to play an instrument? Or, perhaps, to sing, if not increase your existing skill. I am most familiar with harps and flutes. An exchange of learning would be just as welcome.

[Anything at all to help keep busy! He's in desperate need of distraction. Something to focus on besides certain Feanorians and their strange concern and care over his well-being.

At least the elf seems somewhat calm at the moment, which isn't exactly the norm since his arrival. Though that might have something to do with the lap harp whose strings he's softly plucking an old tune away on.]

He takes a breath, then switches the channel to something more private. Just for them.

Maglor nods, getting up to fetch his own things.

A gentle touch to strings stills them and he stands, tucking it close to his side. "The garden. I will see you there."

"The little memorial tree" Maglor nods and cuts the connection.

But when Daeron arrives, Maglor greets him with a teasing tune on the kazoo, to see if he can make him laugh.

Of course Maglor gets there first.

He manages a flicker of a smile as a greeting before stopping still at the ridiculous sound. Then snorts softly, ducking his head as he slips around a bush to sit beside Maglor.

"Did I tell you what your brother did?" Utter absurdity is the answer!

There! A smile! And Maglor grins back, satisfied.

"No - what did he do?"

Cheater.

He glares half-heartedly at Maglor but it subsides swiftly as he brushes fingers over harpstrings again. But a flicker of a glance to the kazoo betrays the amusement that tugs at his lips.

"...He played the two...gifts I was given. Has he always been so...talented?" In playing badly, at least purposely.

The worst cheater.

Maglor laughs, at that.

"Oh dear! He's better than he thinks, really. But I am not at all surprised. At least yours are proper instruments! Sort of."

Why does he put up with you again?

The laugh earns a wider smile and a soft hum. "He has you for a brother." Daeron plucks away at a cheerful little tune. "You seem to enjoy what you were given."

Maglor snorts in amusement. "Apart from the vuvuzela, which... Daeron, I swear I threw that out, but it keeps reappearing."

Lips twitch more before he can't help the quiet snicker. "Perhaps it likes your company enough to deny being flung away."

Maglor rewards him with a flat stare, although he's grinning too.

"Maybe I should introduce you to it, I'm sure it'd like you more!"

Daeron smirks slightly, blinking lazily at him.

"Does it require an introduction? That sounds rather polite of it."

"I could just sneak onto your ship and leave it at your door!"

"Ai, but it would only return to you." One way or another~

[Not a bother! Just very very confusing. Maglor's care makes sense. He ducks his head shyly, fingers too skilled to stumble.]

I would suggest lessons for you, though perhaps your brother would prefer to take care of them instead?

[Oh no, he doesn't do that. He's learned better. Daeron takes a careful breath, hesitating only a few seconds.]
