There is a wedding on the planet. You may know this because you were invited to this wedding by this little guy and it's a lovely ceremony! You can watch the couple get married, wether you know them or not, the whole fleet was invited.Even if they don't know you either.

Noctis was in all black and he was beside himself, the time had finally come and after seeing his beautiful bride he couldn't look away. The music was soft yet appropriate. Luna was beaming, holding onto Shiro's arm down the aisle until they were together and holding hands. The vows went on as if in another room. Noctis couldn't quite focus on them, he was fighting getting sucked into Luna's orbit and just kissing her prematurely. Distantly he heard his cue to repeat after the offician and he recited his vows word for word. Umbra had their rings ready for them. When he put Luna's on her finger he felt a tear spill down his cheek. He couldn't stop smiling. The officiant led Luna then and Noctis hung on every word. Her voice was melodic and soft. Then he had a ring on his finger and he felt himself crying again. He just looked at her, he officiant left them through the end, announcing it was over, they were married.

Noctis didn't wait for any cue, he pulled Luna in close and dipped her as they kissed.

They were laughing and crying and holding each other tight. They were in their own world for the time being. But the RECEPTION starts now. And that's what everyone really came for. There's alcohol, food in a buffet, and cake . Those of you at the cake tasting with them may notice the flavor you recommended is available as a donut! All of the suggested flavors are availalble, it was hard to decide who didn't get their favorite and what ONE flavor to make an entire cake out of. It didn't sit well with either of them.

Also sparklers There is a table with a few gifts on it, but it contains a large display of long sparklers with matches and a bucket of water saying "Please light up our night!"

SO Have at the reception everybody!

There is a: Dance floor with music booming, a buffet with delicious food and CAKE, There is BOOZE of all types and it's just flowing with no signs of stopping, and sparklers! Also dancing with the bride..... or getting a photo with the couple!

[Yeah, don't think he hasn't noticed those looks. He's been enjoying himself alongside Sorey- the conversation, the music, the food, all of it, really, even the romance aspect of it can be appreciated, since he's not heartless. He may not be a gushing, bleeding heart like Sorey is about it, but seraphim can see into the hearts of people, and there's something beautiful and contagious about how happily in love the newlyweds are. You don't feel that kind of thing as palpably on the pages of some sappy novel. So yeah, he's glad on their behalf.

For the most part he brushes off the glances as just Sorey being Sorey, but eventually he catches him in the act, turning his head just as Sorey does to meet his gaze, and his expression has a decidedly proud I know what you were doing look to it.]

Sorey doesn't look particularly bothered by it though; despite the fact that Mikleo prefers to appear cool and collected and he usually takes considerable pains to remain as such, Sorey can tell: Mikleo is happy too.

So even though Mikleo is a little bit smug about catching Sorey in the act, he can't do anything but smile at him before looking over at where Noctis and Luna are feeding each other donut bits and rest his arm on Mikleo's shoulders.] I can't wait to spend the rest of forever with you.

that sort of dialogue is why he can go from smug to embarrassed in the span of two seconds

Hastily Mikleo glances away again, though he does lift his hand to weave his fingers through Sorey's at his shoulder. Yeah yeah, he loves you too.]

Is it even something you need to wait for, considering we're living it here and now?

Sorey grins at him again, knocking into his side a little bit.] That's the best part! It's like, I'm so excited for the future that we get to have together, but I'm also excited for right now. It's like there'll never be a time when I'm not hyped up about us, y'know?

[Mikleo leans away at the bump and back in again, comfortable as a swing in the familiar breeze.]

I think I understand. The world we get to live in is a whole lot bigger than it used to be, and it really isn't the same if we're not exploring it together. Excited is better than lonely.

Definitely. [Nods toward Luna and Noct.] I think I get why humans would enjoy getting married, too; even this sort of thing is a community celebration. It's really kind of incredible, how many traditions are wrapped up in it.

Community... yeah, that does look to be a big part of it.

[Even in the fleet, where everyone has their own little groups of familiars, a community is still what they've become over time. He'd never met either of the wedded couple but he'd still received an invitation. For humans, to celebrate with strangers is better than doing so alone.]

Maybe that's why it's so uncommon for a seraph to get married- a community of seraphim is unusual, but with humans, they thrive on it.

That's a good point. Maybe we've been approaching this from the wrong angle; it's not so much a human-seraphim difference as it is a community-nomadic difference. [Elysia being the only seraphim community is kind of the exception that proves the rule, after all.]

That's likely. It isn't as if seraphim never get married, after all. It's just more rare for us to build relationships like that, since we're so widespread.

I wonder if it'll become more common for seraphim to marry as human resonance becomes stronger, [Sorey muses.] Like a melding of communities? Eizen's a prime example of a seraph integrating with human communities when given the opportunity to communicate. And if there are Shepherds always taking care of malevolence, we wouldn't have to worry about anybody hellionizing.

That's true. Given the right balance of regional domains and on-the-go purification, the whole continent, even the whole world could be a safe place for anyone to live anywhere. If resonance became strong enough and both sides accepted each other, we could see even more people like us.

[Seraph and human, not just friends, but more than that. It's a pretty wild and unrealistic dream, but isn't that the whole point of dreaming?]

That's next on the list then, I guess. [The list of things to do or check up on when he wakes up.

Sorey leans into Mikleo again, arm slipping down to his waist.]

[Mikleo smiles musingly, leaning into Sorey in return, body pressed close, his hair tickling against Sorey's cheek. He's content to stand quietly like that for a little while, enjoying the company, enjoying the atmosphere, just soaking in the joy from within and without.

and then-]

Are you sure you don't want to get married?

[Griiinnn] Why, are you starting to see the appeal?

[Oh lords, to see Sorey smiling like that... Mikleo had clearly been expecting a different reaction.]

I... who can say? I just thought you might. You look especially happy to be here and experiencing it firsthand.

[NAH HA, HE GOT YOU] Sure, of course I'm happy. Lunafreya never got to have this wedding back home, and now she looks so pretty like this; it's like a dream come true for her. [Looks back over to Luna.] What's not to like about seeing someone live their dreams?

Yeah but you were very worried about Umbra wandering around during the wedding. [Which he is, as the cutest doggy attendant ever.]
