Meet me at the altar in your white dress
Who: Everyone
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Kayanni System, the city
When: NOW
There is a wedding on the planet. You may know this because you were invited to this wedding by this little guy and it's a lovely ceremony! You can watch the couple get married, wether you know them or not, the whole fleet was invited.Even if they don't know you either.
Noctis was in all black and he was beside himself, the time had finally come and after seeing his beautiful bride he couldn't look away. The music was soft yet appropriate. Luna was beaming, holding onto Shiro's arm down the aisle until they were together and holding hands. The vows went on as if in another room. Noctis couldn't quite focus on them, he was fighting getting sucked into Luna's orbit and just kissing her prematurely. Distantly he heard his cue to repeat after the offician and he recited his vows word for word. Umbra had their rings ready for them. When he put Luna's on her finger he felt a tear spill down his cheek. He couldn't stop smiling. The officiant led Luna then and Noctis hung on every word. Her voice was melodic and soft. Then he had a ring on his finger and he felt himself crying again. He just looked at her, he officiant left them through the end, announcing it was over, they were married.
Noctis didn't wait for any cue, he pulled Luna in close and dipped her as they kissed.
SO Have at the reception everybody!
There is a: Dance floor with music booming, a buffet with delicious food and CAKE, There is BOOZE of all types and it's just flowing with no signs of stopping, and sparklers! Also dancing with the bride..... or getting a photo with the couple!

[ This dress looks nothing like the one she'd picked out for the wedding they'd never have at home, and he'd said he'd seen her other wedding gown and had liked it. So she hopes he can find something to like just as much about this one, because she'd chosen it specifically with Noctis in mind. She can't replicate her gown from home, and perhaps that's a good thing. Perhaps finding one just like it would have been more of an omen than a blessing.
She smiles at Jill again as she fans the ridiculously long thing out behind her to the best of her abilities... not that it matters because she's not quite ready to head down the aisle just yet, so after a few attempts, she gives in. She'll... she'll ask Shiro to help her out with that just before it's go time. ]
Thank you! But please, just sit and relax. There should be wine in the cooler and some glasses in that cabinet if you want anything to drink. [ She'd dragged it in here herself, but she hasn't touched the stuff. Unlike her dearly beloved, she wants to be completely straight laced for the ceremony, thanks. ]

[ Jill didn't have anything to compare it to, but the difference here was that she was actually in the dress. She could be wearing a mesh onion sack and she'd probably look more glamorous than anyone else on the planet -- and only partially because of the fact she was a bride. Most weddings she would go to these days weren't of people this young; naturally, as she'd aged so had her friends and colleagues and the ones unmarried or being remarried would be older, too. There's perhaps a ten year gap between them (she hasn't thought to ask until right about now), but she doesn't feel self-conscious in any way but having not known them terribly long.
It feels almost like an intrusion, in a way, but they were stuck in this together and everyone had been invited. It's a silly thing to hope for, but Jill definitely hopes that the happy couple at least gets a good haul of gifts. Not just tangible things, but experiential. ]
You're more than welcome, but I hope you can manage the same. [ She faintly waves off the suggestion of drinks. ] Knowing me, I'll spill something on my dress.
[ She doesn't say it, but the thought of or worse, yours enters her head and seals the deal that she definitely won't touch anything until later. ]

[ She chuckles. She has a feeling that Noctis is going to be far less concerned about with what she's wearing and more worried about trying to recite his vows without fumbling too much. She can only imagine that the poor man is a nervous wreck right about now, but she's glad that he's got Ignis and Prompto with him at the very least. Hopefully they can keep his nerves in check and keep him from being too fidgety... knowing Noctis, he is continuously fixing his hair and screwing around with his tie and jacket.
Something to tease him about later, of course. ]
I am looking forward to being able to do just that after the ceremony. I hardly slept last night, and then I got up early to start making sure everything was set up for the reception.

[ Sort of like herself, actually. Jill's obviously not the one getting married here and she can't manage to stop. There's something completely contagious about days like this.
It's hard to put herself in the position they're in and give legitimate advice, unfortunately. Not just because she's not very close to them (yet), but because she figures she'd forego all this if she were ever to get married. They'd just go grab their license and then maybe have a small get-together that Barry would probably turn into a big one -- but it would be humble and simple. Just a barbecue in his backyard and the most expensive thing there would be the cake... although maybe it would add up pretty quickly when you start thinking about enough dogs and burgers and pineapple grilled for each guest.
What a pain. ]
Sort of like a holiday when you're a kid, then. I don't think I'd be able to sleep at all in your position -- although I promise, you can't at all tell you didn't get any. [ Beautiful as a spring flower, really. ] But you should've asked for help in getting things set-up. I don't sleep much and all I was doing was hanging around in my bunk this morning. Could've made use of me!

[ Honestly, Luna loves Noctis more than anything in the world. She has since she was a little girl, even with thousands and thousands of miles and an entire ocean separating them. When they'd had no contact except for a little notebook passed back and forth between them through Umbra for twelve years... when their only contact had been the day of their wedding in Altissia that had, in fact, not been for a wedding but instead for the sacred rite to pull Leviathan from the sea.
So today of all days is just... so important to Luna, because she knows when they go home, things will return to the way they were. Noctis will grieve, his friends will have to contend with that and spur him on, and she will have to merely watch from the distance as she'd promised him. ]
Yes, it really is. I think... I have been getting things set up since two or two thirty this morning. [ And Luna is a little OCD about getting things done, so she hadn't really been able to help herself. ] Thank you very much, you are far too kind, Jill. Despite the lack of sleep, I feel... extremely awake. [ So awake that she feels like she's wired on several cups of coffee despite only drinking water today. Even still, she smiles at Jill and shakes her head. ] Oh, I couldn't have done that to you... that would not at all be fair to make you work like that, silly.

[ Jill can't relate on that level. But she knows the kind of love that's deep and consuming, the kind where you'd do anything for that person if you were given only a moment's notice. Him or me. Maybe some would find her actions romantic or heroic while others would consider them foolhardy. Jill had no regrets when it came down to the wire of him or her -- for Jill, it would always be him, even if solely based on her feelings for him.
She could lie to herself and say that the world needed him more, that he was more valuable, that he had family and friends where her world was smaller and smaller with every passing day. She could say that. It may be true in some ways, but she knows that the only consideration she'd really had about it was that he was going to kill him. If he was going to to kill him, then he'd have to get through her.
He hadn't. ]
Isn't that what we call "second wind," then? [ She tries to play off her concern with a joke, however weak it may be. ] But today is a day for you -- and Noctis -- so you shouldn't have to prepare it, too. I get being a guest, but I would've been more than happy to help you straighten out any tablecloth or ensure a decoration was twisted at just the right angle. Since I can't time travel to my knowledge, I guess I'll just have to find another way to make it up to you!
[ The tone she has suggests that she would possibly be giving her a noogie if this wasn't her wedding day. ]

[ Now that is something Luna is extremely acquainted with. Whether it be letting go of King Regis' hand so that he and Noctis could flee twelve years ago, to escaping the war torn city of Insomnia, to summoning the Astrals. She'd done it all for Noctis, to ensure his destiny would be properly fulfilled. She'd do it over, and over, and over again if he asked it of her and she had it in her. The sickness, the suffering... it had all been worth it, just having the knowledge that even just a little, she gave him more power to defeat Niflheim and end the Starscourge.
Except now she knows Noct's fate, too. He's told her what the Draconian said to him, and it eats at her. No matter how hard any of them try, they cannot protect Noctis from everything. Not even his own destiny.
But that is something to worry and fret over later. Today is a happy day, and so she opts to push all thoughts of death and destruction and darkness out of her mind for a little while. ]
Indeed it is! I may need a coffee or two after the ceremony, though. [ Because the minute they sit down, she's going to get relaxed and be tired and she can't let that happen, dammit. ] That would have been far, far too much trouble for you. I appreciate the thought... I just want you, and everyone else to have a lovely time this evening.
[ Oh, she can hear that. It makes her smile widen into a grin. ]
