There is a wedding on the planet. You may know this because you were invited to this wedding by this little guy and it's a lovely ceremony! You can watch the couple get married, wether you know them or not, the whole fleet was invited.Even if they don't know you either.

Noctis was in all black and he was beside himself, the time had finally come and after seeing his beautiful bride he couldn't look away. The music was soft yet appropriate. Luna was beaming, holding onto Shiro's arm down the aisle until they were together and holding hands. The vows went on as if in another room. Noctis couldn't quite focus on them, he was fighting getting sucked into Luna's orbit and just kissing her prematurely. Distantly he heard his cue to repeat after the offician and he recited his vows word for word. Umbra had their rings ready for them. When he put Luna's on her finger he felt a tear spill down his cheek. He couldn't stop smiling. The officiant led Luna then and Noctis hung on every word. Her voice was melodic and soft. Then he had a ring on his finger and he felt himself crying again. He just looked at her, he officiant left them through the end, announcing it was over, they were married.

Noctis didn't wait for any cue, he pulled Luna in close and dipped her as they kissed.

They were laughing and crying and holding each other tight. They were in their own world for the time being. But the RECEPTION starts now. And that's what everyone really came for. There's alcohol, food in a buffet, and cake . Those of you at the cake tasting with them may notice the flavor you recommended is available as a donut! All of the suggested flavors are availalble, it was hard to decide who didn't get their favorite and what ONE flavor to make an entire cake out of. It didn't sit well with either of them.

Also sparklers There is a table with a few gifts on it, but it contains a large display of long sparklers with matches and a bucket of water saying "Please light up our night!"

There is a: Dance floor with music booming, a buffet with delicious food and CAKE, There is BOOZE of all types and it's just flowing with no signs of stopping, and sparklers! Also dancing with the bride..... or getting a photo with the couple!

[A nod, totally ignoring the rest, thank you.] I'll be there in ten.

[Ten turn out to be fifteen actually, but he shows up wearing the suit and the shoes, looking as handsome as he can be. He opens his arms for Lance and asks his questions as if nothing has happened.]

So, how do I look?

....Wow. You look...amazing, Shiro.

[It's true. Shiro really pulls off the formal look, but then again, he can pull off anything. Lance is kind of jealous. He smiles, gesturing to the chair in front of him.]

[He grabs the back of his neck, smiling a bit. People hit on him all the time, but sincere compliments are something else. Internally grateful for Lance not bringing up the subject, he doesn't comment on the amount of products again, and obediently takes a sit just like Lance asked him too.

See, he's a good boy. Please don't interrogate him.]

[You are a good boy, Shiro. Mostly. But the way Shiro suddenly got so mad isn't leaving Lance's mind anytime soon. Perhaps if it was a few months back, he would have left it alone, but they'd made promises to each other since.

Lance picks up a comb, starting to brush through the main part of the black paladin's hair, humming a bit to himself.]

So, about that little freak out you just had.

[Shiro liked helping the Garrison to promote space exploration, even if that meant interviews and way too many pictures. Going through make up and hair was always a pain...

This time, it isn't so bad. In fact, it's kinda nice to have this little moment with Lance... until that question comes. Shiro sighs.]

I didn't freak out.

You kind of did, Shiro.

[He doesn't pause the movements of his brush as he talks.]

Even when I've been me at my me-est, you've never yelled at me like that before. And I totally forgive you, but only under the condition that you talk to me about why you yelled. We made a promise.

[He looks down, now feeling pretty bad for having made Lance felt like that with his yelling, for breaking their promise. This is pretty hard but... he needs to do it. He and Keith already saw the worse anyway, he tells himself. Just one more step.]

...I didn't want you to see.

Why not?

[His voice is light--not casual, but it barely reflects the severity of their current conversation. Mostly, it's because Lance doesn't see it as a matter that should have ever been worried about to begin with.]

Thought I'd fall for you when I saw those stupidly awesome muscles and didn't want to turn me down? Seriously, though, I don't care. I'm not judging you because you have scars. You went through a lot. I saw some of it.

[Felt some of it, even.]

It's nothing to be ashamed of, even if... I know you still feel guilt about some things from back then. But it isn't then anymore. You know, I always thought scars were just...proof of surviving. Surviving isn't a bad thing.

[Shiro stays quiet while Lance talks, eyes on the floor, not reacting even to the joke. The rational part of his brain says he should listen to Lance, but that little voice is too small against the weight of his guilt.]

...of course there's a reason to be ashamed, Lance. It was my survival over theirs.

Would you rather have died, then? Because if you did, you'd never have ended up being the one that brought us all together. We wouldn't have ended up going to space in the end, and we wouldn't have become paladins. Ergo, no Voltron, ergo, no defenders of the universe.

[He starts fiddling around with Shiro's bangs, adding a little of what looks like mousse to it.]

...What you went through, what all the prisoners went through--it's not right, and it's not fair, but it's what happened. Now you're in a position to help people, so no one has to go through that again. Why is you being alive a bad thing if it means you can do that?

No. I don't want to die.

[His voice sounds rather raw when he says that. He wants to put out there, leave it perfectly clear. Just because he thinks it's going to happen, it doesn't mean he wants it to.

He's so lost in his own thoughts, on this discussion, that Lance could be braiding is bangs right now and he wouldn't notice.]

Being alive isn't a bad thing. If I didn't understand that, then I wouldn't fought for it. But what I did to survive is not something I want -should- show off.

You're not showing it off by taking off your shirt! Tell me, Shiro. If it'd been me--if it'd been any of us--who got stuck in that situation, who had to do what we had to to survive, would you tell us that we should be ashamed? That we should cover ourselves up forever? Would you say that to us?

Of course not! [He finally looks up, frowning, and not appreciating the insinuation. Of course Lance is just giving an example, but it still rubs him the wrong way. Probably because the topic has him on the edge.] But I'd tell you it's natural to feel ashamed, and that you can take your time before uncovering - if you want to do it at all. I always try my best to support all of you without having to push you around.

...Shiro, I... I didn't mean...

[He drops his hand for a moment. God, Lance wishes he could just make everything better. Wishes he could comfort Shiro like he rocked his nephew and niece to sleep after a nightmare. Wishes he wouldn't put his foot in his mouth for the millionth time.]

I didn't mean to push you. I'm sorry. I went too far.

Lance... [Damn it, why does this keep happening?] ...I know you didn't.

[He sighs, his forehead resting against Lance's belly, his hand reaching for Lance's wrist to give it a light squeeze. Please don't feel bad, buddy.]

I know you're trying to help. All the support you showed me during calibrations... it means a lot. But this isn't easy for me, Lance. It isn't going to disappear overnight.

I know that. I just wanted to let you know that I don't judge you for what you look like, or why you look like it. One day, when you're more comfortable... Maybe you can even go swimming with me.

[He gives him a small smile.]

...I haven't swum in ages. It would be nice.

[He admits that freely at least. He may not be a water fanatic like Lance, but he does enjoy a good swim. It's fun, relaxing, but also good exercise. And that smile? It destroys him. So he tries to reach a compromise.]

Maybe I can just keep a t-shirt on at the Iskaulit pool.

[Obviously, Lance would be happier if Shiro was comfortable enough to not have to wear a shirt there, but... A little at a time. He can't rush him. Just support him.]

I won't challenge you to a race yet. But once you get used to the water? Yooooou betcha we're gonna have a swim off.
