There is a wedding on the planet. You may know this because you were invited to this wedding by this little guy and it's a lovely ceremony! You can watch the couple get married, wether you know them or not, the whole fleet was invited.Even if they don't know you either.

Noctis was in all black and he was beside himself, the time had finally come and after seeing his beautiful bride he couldn't look away. The music was soft yet appropriate. Luna was beaming, holding onto Shiro's arm down the aisle until they were together and holding hands. The vows went on as if in another room. Noctis couldn't quite focus on them, he was fighting getting sucked into Luna's orbit and just kissing her prematurely. Distantly he heard his cue to repeat after the offician and he recited his vows word for word. Umbra had their rings ready for them. When he put Luna's on her finger he felt a tear spill down his cheek. He couldn't stop smiling. The officiant led Luna then and Noctis hung on every word. Her voice was melodic and soft. Then he had a ring on his finger and he felt himself crying again. He just looked at her, he officiant left them through the end, announcing it was over, they were married.

Noctis didn't wait for any cue, he pulled Luna in close and dipped her as they kissed.

They were laughing and crying and holding each other tight. They were in their own world for the time being. But the RECEPTION starts now. And that's what everyone really came for. There's alcohol, food in a buffet, and cake . Those of you at the cake tasting with them may notice the flavor you recommended is available as a donut! All of the suggested flavors are availalble, it was hard to decide who didn't get their favorite and what ONE flavor to make an entire cake out of. It didn't sit well with either of them.

Also sparklers There is a table with a few gifts on it, but it contains a large display of long sparklers with matches and a bucket of water saying "Please light up our night!"

SO Have at the reception everybody!

There is a: Dance floor with music booming, a buffet with delicious food and CAKE, There is BOOZE of all types and it's just flowing with no signs of stopping, and sparklers! Also dancing with the bride..... or getting a photo with the couple!

I've always wondered about that, actually. Whether the "cameras" they use to spy on us, wherever they are, differ from the communicators.

[He flips through his comm to pull up the camera function, turning to point it selfie-style in front of both he and Hermione together, and the preview screen shows only her.]

So you can only text people, or use your voice, right? That must be strange.

It's always been strange, anyway. We didn't have technology like this where I came from, so no matter how it worked, I'd have had to adapt. I don't mind- it's more convenient than no one ever knowing I'm here.

It's definitely better than what I had in the world before this one. [ Her nose wrinkles, just a little. ] We could communicate, but after a few months the monarchs made it so we could only talk to the people we were in the same Court as, even if we had friends elsewhere.

Were you also abducted to a place outside of your homeworld before coming here?

[Kinda sounds that way, but it's hard to tell.]

I was in a place called the Drabwurld before I woke up here. I'm originally from my own version of Earth, from a country called England.

I can't say I've ever heard of that place... though I have heard of Earth before. The fleet pulls a lot of people from that world, apparently.

I think so, but they're all different versions. In my world there are witches and wizards but in some others magic doesn't exist, or there are super humans mingling with regular people. It's incredible, really.

Witches and wizards...? And in your world, is it not dangerous for humans to wield magic?

[All the different rules are so confusing, my goodness.]

It's not dangerous to the witch or wizard, no. Some people are simply born with magic and learn to use it properly and others have no magic at all.

Interesting. Maybe it's just our world, then... where I'm from, it's taboo for humans to use anything resembling magic without forming special pacts, otherwise they can become corrupted monsters. But I've met several humans here where it's normal to have such skills.

[ Hermione hums, thoughtful. ]

It's certainly not taboo where I'm from, unless you hold a particular set of ridiculous prejudices. Magic is something you're born with, and it's something you die with, too. What sort of pacts do you have to make?

Usually humans have to form a bond with a seraph to gain power. The taboo part comes into play because of corruption, not society, as far as I'm aware.

I've done something like that before. [ Hermione lifts her hand, showing off the Master's mark on the back, red and not quite glowing. ] I made a bond with a heroic spirit so that they had mana to live from.

To live from? And the bond put that mark on you?

[ The mark is red, but it's a dull colour, as if it was once bright and vibrant but had faded over time. ]

It was a pact, or a partnership, at least in my case. He - they - fed on my magical energy to keep themselves alive.

Mana from a human... that's new for me, too. Is it safe? For such spirits to feed off you, I mean.

I never had any problems with it. It might be dangerous if you didn't trust the person you were making the pact with, but I trusted my partners.

[ Even if she didn't... Know Tamamo that well. Diarmuid, at least, had been family before. ]

Each one of this red marks represents a spell, too, that can be used to command the spirit. I could order them not to hurt me if I needed to.

[....wait, wait wait. that sounds kind of sketchy.]

No, no! I would never. [ Her nose wrinkles and it's obvious how much she dislikes the idea. ] They were their own people, we were just bound together. I would never actually use one of these things. I promised.

[After everything he's heard about the humans of the past, tethering, exorcists- it's hard not to be suspicious, especially when he recognizes certain phrasing. She doesn't appear to be lying, but then, neither did Maltran.]

Is that bond gone now? Since you've referred to it in past tense.

I don't feel them anymore.

[ Hermione touches the mark on the back of her hand and sighs a soft noise, bowing her head. ]

I think he'd be okay, even without me. He didn't need me as his Partner, but we wanted to take care of each other, protect one another. He was one of my best friends.
