There is a wedding on the planet. You may know this because you were invited to this wedding by this little guy and it's a lovely ceremony! You can watch the couple get married, wether you know them or not, the whole fleet was invited.Even if they don't know you either.
Noctis was in all black and he was beside himself, the time had finally come and after seeing his beautiful bride he couldn't look away. The music was soft yet appropriate. Luna was beaming, holding onto Shiro's arm down the aisle until they were together and holding hands. The vows went on as if in another room. Noctis couldn't quite focus on them, he was fighting getting sucked into Luna's orbit and just kissing her prematurely. Distantly he heard his cue to repeat after the offician and he recited his vows word for word. Umbra had their rings ready for them. When he put Luna's on her finger he felt a tear spill down his cheek. He couldn't stop smiling. The officiant led Luna then and Noctis hung on every word. Her voice was melodic and soft. Then he had a ring on his finger and he felt himself crying again. He just looked at her, he officiant left them through the end, announcing it was over, they were married.
Noctis didn't wait for any cue, he pulled Luna in close and dipped her as they kissed.

Or all of the above.
He leans in as if to begin dancing again with her before whispering softly in her ear.]
Drama. Isn't that what sells this show?
no subject
That's all it can be, right.
Nodding her head, she closes her eyes, basking for a moment. ]
I suppose I'm a little more used to being dramatic in the moment. Sometimes my emotions get the better of me.

And while he can say that this is all for the viewers, a part of him wishes very much that that was not the case. He's always thought her attractive and kind and strong, but know he knows that she's also flawed, hiding behind a facade of almost perfection, like him.
And he find that he's very confused about how he feels about her now. Especially as he holds her close and she seems to fit so comfortably against him. It takes him a moment to respond to her comment.]
Drama doesn't need to be big to be felt. In fact, it's generally best when it's subtle.

It must be, of course, for the viewers. For the money. A part of her feel sour and uncomfortable with the weight of it settling down on her, and there's frustration, too - she doesn't want to be used, but she doesn't think Ignis is that kind of person. She doesn't think that he'd use her just for something like that; she doesn't think he'd be so cruel.
Closing her eyes, she breathes out and nods her head, quiet and solemn. ]
No, you're right. We don't need to do explosions or - or anything like that.

When the music enters the crescendo before the end of the song, tips her slightly before smoothly sliding a foot back so that he can bow over her hand again. It's only marred a bit by the fact that there are others so close. With only the ease of practice, he kisses her hand once more, willing her to look at him with his eyes.
It's not something he is used to at all and it's hard. How does Gladio make it look so easy?]

What she is familiar with is the feeling of being used for a purpose, and she knows that's not what Ignis means by his commentary. He is not creating drama for the sake of drama, or to use her for any other means; she simply doesn't know what he wants to do by inciting gossip and creating something between them where, surely, there's nothing whatsoever.
The dip and the kiss are enough to spark her attention back to him, and her eyes widen even as she shifts, tilting her head up to look at him properly. She doesn't know what to do or say, and she reaches to steady herself by putting a hand on his shoulder. ]
That was... It was like a film.

Making her think that he wants something more at this time, especially so soon after she's lost her previous lover, is the absolute worst thing he can think of right now. Aside from not seeing her at all. It would be ungallant and downright cruel. And he's never wanted to be that sort of person in his entire life.
The spark in her eye and the touch of her hand seem to root him to the spot where they stand for a moment before he cracks a smile again.]
I've never seen that done in a film. It's a trick I've only seen one other person capable of doing and he's not here with us.

[ It couldn't be Prompto or Noctis, after all, and she hadn't seen anyone else when she had been dragged headfirst into all of Ignis' thoughts and memories about his friends and the people he cared about.
It's easier, she thinks, to focus on that, on the conversation, on her own smile, than it is to think about anything else. She's enjoyed dancing with Ignis, more than she would care to admit, but it's still a little awkward and leaves her uncertain, unsure of what to do with herself. She doesn't know where to put her hands or what words to say, and it makes her hesitate.
At least she manages something. ]
A ladies' man?

[Of course, he doesn't really know the Kingsglaive members well. Or the King's Council. Not that she needs to know that either.
He looks down at the hand he is still grasping, wondering at the strong, silent warmth of her slim fingers and lamenting the ease of the early friendship.]
But, yes, Gladio is very popular with women. At least if one listens to him talk about his prowess. Of course, a great many of the female staff found him "dreamy". Although, I'm sure he'd prefer the word "virile" instead.

[ It's not as if she could criticise even if that was the case; she spent most of her school life having two friends, both of which are incredibly far away from her now. The idea of seeing Harry or Ron again is a completely foreign concept; she'd given up on it.
At least she manages to smile, though, completely oblivious to the fact that she's basically just holding his hand now. ]
That's not always a good thing. I'm sure he was lovely, but... [ Her nose wrinkles. ] If he liked it then it's fine, I suppose.

[And though he knows quite a few people, he only has three friends back home. Here, however, is a different story.
It's more like six.And he wonders if she will ever realize that they are holding hands as if they were more than just friends. And a part of him hopes that she doesn't. Because it feels just right that they should hold one another's hand at an event like this.]
You would have to ask Gladio how he feels about that. For myself, I haven't really craved attention from the opposite sex like that. A lover would have expected, and deserved, to have a great deal of my time that I wasn't able to give at the time.
[But now? Who knows. With Noctis now married, a great deal of Ignis' duties can now be shared with Lunafreya, without being told that he was mothering his king.]

[ She assumes his father as well, since he's a prince of some kind, but she doesn't want to press for details. She recognises that what happened to them at home - and her knowledge of Ardyn and other memories - isn't something that will bring up many happy memories for Ignis. She wants to keep focussed on the warmth of this moment.
Just like she recognises that their hands are still twined, but she doesn't pull away instantly. She lets herself have the moment and tells herself it's to make sure that other people don't think that they can nudge her here and there before she hums, nodding her head and dropping her fingers away. ]
I'll ask him if he ever turns up. I might make a fool of myself, but there's nothing wrong with being curious.
[ But, um, she shifts, awkwardly. ]
Hopefully you'll be able to make time for those sorts of things now. I think you deserve it, Ignis.

[He frowns. They were, but the survivors have helped them in their own ways along their journey. The thoughts aren't pleasant, but there's the mitigating factor that she hasn't pulled away that helps him to not concentrate on the gloom too much.
Until she does.]
I'm sure he won't hesitate to answer you. Possibly after flirting.
[Which doesn't bother him. Nope. And he doesn't sound slightly off as he answers her.]
Perhaps, but that's a moot point right now, isn't it?
no subject
[ She'd had guards, of course, but - she had never been a queen, no matter what Gilgamesh had said to her about it. She frowns, shaking her head and leaning back, watching Ignis with a gentle expression. ]
He can flirt all he likes. I'll just tell him to stop being such a prat.
[ But, um. Her eyes drag over him before she frowns and turns away. ]
You're probably right. Maybe it's not the best thing to talk about.

[Crownsguard and Kingsglaive, steward, advisor, friend, those were titles he held and deserved. None of them meant he was guarded, but that he was a guard himself.]
I fear that he'd probably laugh, but then do as you ask.
[Welp, great Ignis, you've ruined everything else this evening with her. Can't make it worse, right?]
Maybe not, but there's no harm in thinking about the off-chance possibility, I suppose.
