[ The shot shows a rich cloth, with a handful of weapons carefully arranged on it. Swords, knives, daggers: their basic designs are simple, but there is elegance to it, and elaboration in inlaid tracings along the blades, in the handles. ]

I've, ah. I've been hard at work, since we came here. I suppose it was nice to find something familiar.

It seems a shame to leave these behind, or to take them all for myself. I'm not a warrior.

Have you got one weighted for throwing? I mean, besides general 'stabbing things,' I can't tell to look at them.

Yes - the two smallest. [ The larger, the harder to balance, is the general rule. He brings the camera closer. One is a dagger, two-edged, symmetrical, and the other is a knife, the blade brought to a delicate, just-barely-curved point. The knife is the better weapon, in Malak's private opinion; the metal in the dagger just didn't respond the same way. It happens, sometimes. ]

In theory one doesn't let the merchant go first, but uhh it's not like he would know, currently, if twelve whatsits is equal to or less say, 15 thingamajigs. Go on, Malak, do your worst!! ]

Oh, you're very serious about knives.

[ This isn't a complaint, it's just not something he takes into account because stabby things are for emergencies and executions apparently 8(, not day to day use. ]

I'm not averse to the idea, but if you don't mind pretending for a moment this sort of communication looks like new and baffling magic to some of us, I've no idea where you are or how to get there.

Don't worry, it's new and baffling magic to me too. In fact, there isn't much magic where I come from, and I've never seen godliness do anything like this.

...I'm not that serious. I'm just used to dealing with warriors. One woman always has to have a better weapon than the next.
