[As relaxing as the vacation in the Kayanni system had been, there was still something that weighed on Eleanor’s mind. Calibrations hadn’t been easy on anyone, and even a month later, she still felt on edge. Among other things, calibrations had highlighted just how little information was shared between Velvet’s group and Sorey’s.]

[They were trying to hide things, per se, but there were some conversation topics that didn’t come up naturally. Even if the two groups were over a thousand years apart, there was something to be said about sharing knowledge. After all, considering the lifespan of the Malakhim, it was likely the information would be relevant to at least some of their group.]

[It takes the better part of a week, but each of the relevant parties will be contacted by Eleaanor in some way. The meeting is set for the 20th of August in the evening, in the lounge of the Wonderduck. The lounge itself is still quite small, but nine people can still fit reasonably comfortably, and there are a even few snacks and drinks set up around the room for anybody who needs (or wants) to eat.]

[Anybody who arrives early is welcome to take a seat, or to flag down Eleanor as she goes to and from the kitchen.]

Information Sharing! (Later in the Evening)

[Once everyone has gathered and settled in, Eleanor will call the group together. It's time for all of them to be on the same page, and she's sure that she's not the only one who feels that way.]

Thank you for coming. I know this may not be a happy discussion, but I think it's important for us to better understand each other. If calibrations have shown us anything [She glances quickly over at Sorey], it's that despite the millennia that divide us, we're closer than we think.

We should be all acquainted with each other, but I believe introductions are the best place to start. My name is Eleanor Hume, and I was once an Exorcist.

[She gestures towards the next person.]

[ Zaveid sometimes feels a little bit like he could be some kind of awkward intermediary between what was Velvet's group and Sorey's group; he's the only one that had a toe in both worlds, so to speak, and the only one that really lived the time between Velvet being awake and active as the Lord of Calamity and Sorey being awake as the Shepherd; the idea of it seems completely ridiculous. It turns his mind to think that somehow he's the one that knows everyone.

It's weird.

All the same, Zaveid does what he can to make himself comfortable as soon as he's over. He knows them all, after all, and he can hang around on Eleanor or Rokurou or even Velvet without worrying - his connection to Sorey gives him some protection there, at least, and it makes him more at ease with spending time with people that might carry a touch more malevolence than he might otherwise be comfortable with. He'd lasted this long anyway, so he figures there's no problem pushing his luck.

The lounge is... Nice, he guesses. He doesn't need to eat but he picks at the food before he goes and flops in the corner, stretching out and fiddling with the chain around his neck. ]

[That'd be this guy here, fidgeting with his feathered Shepherd's glove. This feels so formal and serious...] Um, hi. I'm Sorey, and I'm a Shepherd. I've also got Zaveid, Dezel and Mikleo with me, they're listening.

[Is she grumpy? It's quite possible. But she's there.

Because Eizen made her. And her glare states that plainly.]

This is stupid.

[That's it. Oh, wait.]

If this is optional, I'm leaving.

Edna... [Sorey doesn't quite touch her, but gently reaches out a hand as if to try.] Please stay. [This is bound to be painful and upsetting for her, but her input is as vital as anybody else's.]

[ Eizen, who is leaning against a nearby wall, turns his attention towards them just as Sorey tries to reach out. He inhales unnecessarily, gaze flicking towards his sister as his hands slip into the pockets of his pants. ]

Edna.

[ He gives her a look. One that only she'll understand, one that says all he needs to say. ]

[Velvet is leaning against the wall, next to Eizen. Her arms are crossed and she looks kind of unimpressed with the whole situation. Like that one kid in school who'd like to be off doing something cool and edgy but instead got dragged to some lame club meeting.

Not that she's not interested in information, because she is, whether she admits it or not. But she's not thrilled with the potentially awkward group share.

But she's there, and that's what matters right? At the moment she's more interested in listening than talking, though.]

[tsunergy]

[An orb of blue light floats out of Sorey and Mikleo materializes beside him, arms crossed. He's less versed in the unspoken lingo of earthsibs, sorry dude.]

Don't be stubborn. It's better if we're all on the same page here.

[ Alisha, keeping silent for now - can't exactly hide her concern. She came knowing that it would be especially helpful if everyone were here. She herself wanted to know everyone that were from their worlds that were that. However... she can't help but feel as though Edna had reasons beyond what she's saying for wanting to stay out of everything.

Still, she knows that Mikleo, Eizen, and Sorey have all chimed in enough now. She knows the seraph well enough to know not to further sour her mood more than this.

But... was she alright? ]

[ You ever have that feeling that like everyone knows something but you don't? Like there's some unspoken secret, a quiet tension between factions. Rokurou's been in that situation before, plenty of times. It's hard not to when you come from a family where the phrase 'power dynamics' was a very literal statement. Still, it's a little weird seeing a group of people he knows so well being such awkward wall flowers, while another group of. Well. ]

[ Okay the other group is more like that guy Rokurou got plastered once, some people he doesn't know, and Eizen's scary sister, so it's kind of hard taking all of this seriously. Sorry Eleanor. ]

[ It's pretty obvious from the casual expression on his face that he has no clue as to why everyone's acting this way; as it is, he's taking to mentally doing a rendition of 'hot or not,' but 'fight or not' to pass the time before this little 'meeting' starts. ]

[ Those that really know him probably know that exact expression. ]

[Edna turns her glare onto Eizen, totally skipping over Sorey and his pleading. She hasn't left, sure, but that doesn't mean she has to be pleasant. And everyone should already know just what she feels and why she does.

She's been sharing lately, hasn't she?]

I came. It doesn't mean I have to like it.

[And then she turns to annoying, little waterbro.]

And I don't. At all. And you all know exactly why.

[Oh, yeah. She knows that look. She gives him a look of her own.]

You know we're not here to fight, right?

[Ignoring the self-righteous human, Edna goes up to Rokurou as his face sorts of gets all fuzzy and she pokes him, hard, with the tip of her umbrella in the stomach. He's a daemon. She knows who and what he is.

It's time to make introductions.]

So you're the irresponsible drunkard that's friends with my idiot brother.

[Scary enough yet?]

Yeah, but there's nothing to say we couldn't have a little warm up afterwards.

[ Come on Velvet, think positive. ]

[By virtue of speaking with people directly and with he and Sorey being the tell-all sort of couple, Mikleo knows most of what's going to be discussed here, but not attending isn't something he'd even considered. It's not as if Sorey knows everything, either, and details might come up that was missed before.

Mingling at a party still isn't really his thing, and until the meeting is set to start this place has more or less the same atmosphere, so he busies himself helping out with the snacks, setting out little cakes and drinks and cold sweets that fall within his range of cooking ability. It's the little details that count, and with all the seriousness of the meeting, both before and after, he's grateful for the distraction. Plenty of what happened here with the hellions is still unknown, and even if it's necessary to get it out in the open, he's far from comfortable about it.]

[Dezel decides to pop out at this point, bringing the wind seraph count up to two. He hangs out in the back with his arms crossed and his back permanently against the wall. If this is supposed to share information, he's sure no one is going to go home happy. And he's probably the most confused since he died before they got too far into Maotelus' stuff. HE GOT BROUGHT UP TO SPEED, BUT...

Man, what the hell even happened.]

We're here to trade information, not reopen old wounds. Let's get it over with.

[There's someone eyeballing that hellion. How Dezel manages to do it without visible eyes is anyone's guess, but it feels like Rokurou is being watched-- and he might even detect a faint touch of air on his shoulder, as if testing him.]

[ Oh man that thing packs way more of a punch that Rokurou was expecting from what's essentially an umbrella, and he actually curves his body a bit to lessen the force of it, wincing. ]

Ow- jeez. That's one way to be remembered.

[ Honestly, it's one of the nicer ways he's been remembered. ]

[ But no really, Rokurou's senses for potential fights have been hyperaware ever since his regular fights stopped, so he's definitely got that feeling buzzing through him when he glances over for the source of that buzz. ]

[ Ah yes, creeping malaks. That's nothing new, but the malak sure is. ]

[He adjusts his hat, tucks it a little lower, but his teeth are in a definite sharky scowl.]

You don't seem like a normal hellion. [But then again, Velvet's not like the Lord of Calamity that Sorey and the others knew, either.] Are you suppressing your true form or what?

[ ... Those really are some shark teeth. Not enough to intimidate Rokurou (the guy traveled with Velvet after all), but just enough to get his attention. ]

Nope, sorry. What you see is all I've got.

[ And he does give a slight toss of his hair, to reveal the reddened eye covered by his bangs and the black markings across the right side of his face but, really. That's it. ]

[They look about the same percentage non-human, it seems. Dezel doesn't quite pick up on the details. He's not going to go poking at someone's face if he doesn't know them, either.

He shrugs.]

You all look the same to me.

Uhhh, if you're saying I look just like Velvet...

[ He makes it a point to glance over openly at the very non-Rokurou-shaped Lord of Calamity. ]

I'm not actually sure if that's a compliment or not. She probably wouldn't like the comparison though.

You're pretty close in height and have long black hair.

[A pause.]

She tends to show more skin, though.

[ Well. ]

[ The wind malak set this up, so really Rokurou only has one response he can make at this point. ]
