[He was asleep for so long that he had very little time on the planet. But he only needed a little time to get what he needed. Just after the drift begins and the planet is a distant spark on the horizon, he starts flitting from ship to ship and cabin to cabin to find people.

Action for Goldstone
For the members of his crew, he has a little gift for everyone. He'll be coming by crew cabins or finding people at their stations, anywhere they are, so he can deliver a little handwrapped present with a smile.

Action for the Fleet
With his main gifts given out, he'll start shuttling over to ships at random. Wonder what that noise is in the cargo bay? What about that weird banging noise in the kitchen? Well it's the Fleet's resident samurai, piglet in tow, and he's leaving little gift baskets for each ship - candy, non-perishables like dried fruit and canned goods, shower gel, a flamingo hat, random weird junk like these things, etc. Whatever he could buy down on the planet, he's stuffed into baskets and is leaving them on every ship for everyone.

Or you could find him wandering the Iskaulit with Saizou trailing behind passing out brightly colored candies. Who knows what flavors they are - maybe Floot Loops.]

[Could, yes, but probably won't, even when startled. Which he absolutely is, as he makes a high pitched squeak of surprise and turns in his chair so hard he very nearly tips is sideways and upsets his cup of coffee trying to prevent that from happening. He scrambles to lift his book up and save it from the liquid before it's too late.]

Powers, must you...

[See, this is why he always sneaks up on Felix.

He very quickly grabs a nearby towel and starts corralling the liquid before it can get too far.]

Mmmmm, no, but you always react so well.

[He's surprisingly quick at cleaning up messes, probably from all the practice, and he's able to keep the coffee from getting too far along in its mad dive for the book.]

Shall I get you a new cup?

[The fact that Okita is helping to prevent disaster amerliorate his anger somewhat. He's backed the chair away from the table a few inches to be sure it doesn't spread to his pants either. Most of it went the opposite direction. He'll be happy to hold the book off the table until the area is safe]

If you'd be so kind. [Which is said with a prim stiffness, as if he's clearly not sure if he should continue to be angry when Okita is so quick to make up for it.]

[Okita smiles and nods.]

Of course. If you'll just take this instead?

[He reaches behind his back to pull out a slim rectangular box, wrapped in gold filigree paper with an obnoxiously red bow on the top, and sets it on top of Felix's open book. Then as quickly as he can, he sweeps the rest of the coffee off the table and into the towel, heading toward the kitchen sink.]

[The continued politeness throws him off even further, and he stares in a vaguely dumbfounded way at the package before setting the book down on a dry spot and picking up the package instead as if it were made of eggshells.]

What is this?

[He laughs a little, squeezing the towel out into the sink.]

Everyone is always so curious about what's in a surprise. It ruins it if you ask, you know~

[A little running water to clear out the potential coffee stains and he lets the towel soak.

Meanwhile, if Felix decides to open the box, he'll find a delicately constructed gold hand mirror, with a matching brush and comb set. The box is lined with red velvet to keep the items safely tucked away.]

Do you drink your coffee plain or with milk and sugar? ...Or was it cream? I'm still learning these phrases.

Hm? Oh, it's...milk...is what we have available. Real cream would be a rarity. And, ah, one spoonful of sugar...

[He continues to stare at the box uncertainly as Okita busies himself about in the kitchen. He did not expect random gifts from people that were not also sleeping with him, and thus a part of him vaguely suspects that this kindness is the beginning of some kind of prank. But if that were true, he would have expected the man to make a hasty exit. Maybe.

Slowly, Felix careful undoes the ribbons and paper to pull out the beautifully ornate mirror from box. At the sight of his his breath catches in obvious, but delighted, surprise]

[Milk and a spoonful of sugar then. He goes about making the coffee as specified, trying to get it back to the color he remembers from Felix's previous, ill-fated cup. It's almost finished and he looks back as he hears the gasp, a small smile spreading across his lips.

There it is - the happiness he's been missing in the people around him. It's such a small thing, giving people presents, but it's so important. He's been missing this feeling - that he's done something good for people.

After rummaging in the cabinets, he finds a small cookie and places that alongside the new cup of coffee on a small tray, then brings the tray over to Felix and puts it down in front of him.]

Is it to your taste?

[When he returns to the table, Felix is running his fingers over the ornate gilded edges of the mirror, tilting it this way and that in a way that is vaguely awed.]

Quite remarkably so, yes.

[He's fairly certain it's not actually gold, but the design of the thing would have sat comfortably in his old room in the Mirador. The nostalgia of that thought alone brings the tears just a bit closer to the surface, though his face remains composed.]

May I ask what the occasion is?

[He's glad that he made the right choices in his gifts so far and the smile that winds its way across his face this time seems to be truly genuine for once.]

I felt like shopping for everyone.

[In other words, no occasion at all. He simply felt like it and now he's done it.]
