Does anyone feel a little...off? It's as though something or someone is calling out to us with powers. I can feel it through my veins like a magnet drawing me closer, aiming to catch me in it's net. A pulsing energy like I've never experienced before. Then, there's the melody like singing. We must be approaching something....a planet maybe? I must say this feeling is rather new to me, although I've felt effects like this before, this one is on a new level altogether. Perhaps, I am quite mad, but I do feel this. If anyone else can relate to me on this it would be appreciated, just so I can feel a little more comfortable.

[Ardyn doesn't know that his broadcast might take a little longer to reach fellow crew members, due to the static within the air. It's all to do with the arrival to the new planet...]

[Ardyn had decided to give it a go. Why not? It was just a fantasy after all, right? He had never really believed in gypsy witchcraft, so why should he now, just because he was on an alien planet? Smirking softly, he picked up a palm scanner and wondered if it would indeed tell his fortune.]

Does anyone believe in all of this? I find it hard to believe that any of this could actually work.

[He spotted other trinkets, cards, herbs and other items, which were supposed to help tell your fortune. A waste of money? Perhaps. Was anyone else falling for it?]

Cruise Ship:

[Now, this was more Ardyn's style. Sitting comfortably with a glass of red wine in his hand, the Chancellor stared out of the window at the rolling waves being swept up by the boat. Ah, it was almost like being at home. Galdin Quay came to mind and also Altissia. Such beauty. He sipped his wine and wondered who else would venture aboard the boat in search of some sanctuary away from the metal prison in space.]

Ah, this is the life. It's nice to actually smell the salty air once more. Too long have we been cooped up like animals in a cage aboard the ships.

[He got up to walk along the deck to take in more of the view. He might even have a hot bath soon to ease his aches. Oh, such luxury!]

Shopping:

[Well now, Ardyn might be holding a rainbow snake within his fingers, as he offered the trader a wry smile. He wasn't afraid of the reptiles, oh no. He loved them. Yet, he wasn't sure the Red Fish would be a suitable habitat for the snake, so he allowed the animal to slither back to his master. A shame.]

You know, he would have kept me company, yet I believe space may be too cold for this little fellow. Alas, I could have had a friend for life.

[Ardyn sighed and then moved to another stall, checking out the merchandise and wondering what, or if, he should spend his currency on.]

[He can feel the energy and the only thing he can liken it to is the font in Karazhan. That and the water planet they'd visited months before, the temple they'd explored and the books he'd found.]

I've felt it before. There was a planet with visited, all water. [He closes his eyes for a moment, thinking back.] They were called, I think, the Dasioe- the people there.

[This is different though. Mafik had been pleasant to hear, to feel. This system is... not.]

Do you know why they seek to chant their song into our heads? Is it some sort of alien greeting in the only language they know?

[It was maddening to not know about all of this, since Ardyn was used to the one being in charge. He loved knowing what others did and how they worked. These alien planets drove him mad.]

What was the sensation like before?

I'm not sure they're doing so intentionally. It's the planet itself. Or, it seemed like it was. The Dasioe spoke a language we could understand just fine, after all, and I don't think Atroma would bring us somewhere that we can't communicate.

[What does he know though? He hasn't been in the fleet a full year yet.]

Peaceful, relaxing. The polar opposite of this.

[Ardyn had only been within the fleet for around four months, so was practically a newbie himself.]

Interesting. I often sit at my station and try to decipher the odd strange sound that comes through the airwaves. Yet, this one is on a whole new level. What worries me most about this is that the sound isn't peaceful or relaxing but ominous. Are we headed for disaster? Is that what the sounds are trying to tell us?

[It was infuriating. He wanted to know now.]

You have a communication augment? [It's a good idea to keep track of how many comm officers there are in the fleet.] Some sounds are just cosmic radiation. Nothing actually worth listening to.

[He's been wondering about the song himself. He's been wondering a lot.] It's hard to say, if it's the planet itself, we can't really communicate with it. It's probably incapable of real communication.

I am Communications officer aboard the Red Fish. It seems the Atroma chose this augment for me, since back home I am Chancellor to an Empire.

[He was good with words, twisting them and bending them to his will when it suited him a lot of times.]

Ah, but cosmic radiation might be some sort of language for others to listen to. Who knows what the marvels of space can hold for us? I'm always curious to know just how many beings there are within this vast universe.

[Because he wants to know them. Maybe they'd be willing to join the Empire?]

Maybe our esteemed captors are blocking out most of the transmission? I wouldn't put it past them.

I'm on Communications on Twin Roses. [Huh.] Seems like an odd connection. I'm Mage Consul to the regent of Stormwind so that at least seems to connect easier.

[That's one way Khadgar wouldn't think of.]

Maybe? But one would have to learn how to harness and manipulate it. This universe is way ahead of anything possible on my world, but I doubt Atroma would try blocking anything. They couldn't stop the Interceptor Fleets communications, or didn't want to. After their display of power, I doubt they have anything to fear by what we might hear or learn.

This is a singing planet. [ The elf on the screen looks... distracted ]

We have passed others before. But they wanted us to stay. This one... Warning. I'm not sure what about.

Oh, how wonderful.

[A hint of sarcasm, since it's really grating on his nerves right now.]

Now, the question is what will this warning be? Do they want us to stay away? Or are they trying to lure us into their web using a siren's call?

[It's possible? Nothing goes beyond the normal train of thought here.]

Possibly both. They found ships, I think, on the other planets, down in the deep hidden places. Remnants of other Fleets, mayhap. You might do better to seek information on that.

A bit like when shipwrecks hold the lost souls within their old and broken timbers. Perhaps, these sounds are the lost souls of fallen ships of long ago, cast out into the deep abyss of space.

[Poetic but perhaps true to some extent? Why would the sounds be as if they were trying to warn people?]

Maybe. I could not sense the Houseless, but... when the planets sing like that, I can hear very little else. I could ask my captain - Mikleo has a very keen sense of things not quite of this world.

I, myself, am Communications officer aboard my ship and have studied the sounds via the channels available to me. Yet, I haven't had much luck in trying to decipher what the sounds actually are.

I am on the Huntress, myself. My captain is Mikleo, and Sorey is the First Mate. I am only a ... "Personnel Support", myself. But I was, and remain, a Bard. The sounds I hear, even though I do not understand them.

You're getting weird feelings, too? Did you get one of the weird dream vision things?
