Who: Ezri
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Caprine
When: After reaching the Eyuzi system
Hey everyone, Dax here.
With those dreams some of us has, I thought maybe it'd be a good idea to try distracting ourselves with something a little more pleasant. Not forget them, they might be important, but I checkout out the planet briefly before coming back to the Caprine.
Some of the Lyukites offer 'star tours' where the stars actually determine the tours path. It's a shame we won't get to see how much the tour changes, unless Atroma brings us back later, but it'd be a shame to miss.

That's alright, I know my fellow... dreamers, I guess, might like a distraction but the invitation is by no means just for them.

Not strange, no, but unexpected.

[Lumière will always been drawn to chaos like a moth to a...well. Still, he is a touch concerned for her. ]
And any distraction from those dreams would be welcome, no? I am sorry that you have had to deal with them, mon étoile.
Video;
[Aww, Lumiere.]
Definitely welcome though and it's alright. I've dreamed worse things.
Video;
[Can't stop. Won't stop. Not ever. ]
Still, that does not make these any less pleasant. Especially if they are a precursor to something else.
Video;
Since we might not come back here while we're part of the fleet, we definitely shouldn't waste the chance. Should I take it that you're definitely joining me?
[If only he wasn't a candle.]
No, it really doesn't. And even if I don't really have proper responsibilities, a captain probably shouldn't be sleep deprived.
Video;
I could not agree with you more, and I would be delighted to join you. It would be most romantic, no?
[CURSE HIS STUPID CURSE. ]
Is there anything I can do to help you?
Video;
Romantic? [Lumiere please.] So it would be. Maybe we'll just have to go on one ourselves.
[It's so sweet he's asking.]
I'm not sure what anyone can do. It's, ironically enough, all in my head.

Star tours? How does that work?
video
I'm guessing they follow particular constellations or something similar?
video
...
Would you mind some company?
video
That's okay though.]
Not at all, the invitation is open to everyone.
video
I would enjoy the trip, I think - do you know when you are going out?
video
I think they do them each night, probably around dusk. I thought it might be better to interest check rather than just going alone right off.

You are not Jadzia Dax. Why are you using her name, Ezri?
[The Klingon was confused and angry at the same time. Was this some sort of joke? Worf never did take lightly to jokes and ones that had a serious note to them such as this. His fiancée was back aboard Deep Space Nine and this woman was not Jadzia Dax.]
video;
Shit, that's right. Worf hadn't realized yet- she hadn't told him yet. And she'd been avoiding it the best she could. Stupid, Ezri.]
I'm nothing like Jadzia. [He tone is a little defensive.] I am using my name though.
[She takes a deep breath.] I am Ezri Dax, the ninth host of the Dax symbiont. Tenth if you count Verad. [She doesn't.]
no subject
No.
Jadzia....she wasn't dead, was she? Worf knew how the whole process worked with symbiont and Trill joined. The host had to die before the symboint was transplanted into another host. That would mean Jadzia was dead.]
You say you are from my future, another time- yet- Jadzia-
[He steeled himself and put his warrior front on, forcing all emotion out.]
How did she die?

[The memories force themselves forward, clear and familiar, as if it hadn't been over a year for her since she'd been joined to Dax on the Destiny.]
Gul Dukat. During the First Battle of Chin'toka, I was in command of the station- Jadzia was in command. She was in the Bajoran Temple when he killed her. [Her gaze is a bit distant, remembering that death. They were all uncomfortable to recall but Jadzia's is closest.]
stunned silence. yep.
[His mind was numb. What the hell happened and why wasn't he there to save her!]
That bastard will die by my hand once I get back to Deep Space Nine. I always knew a Cardassian could not be trusted!
[He was angry, so angry, but also upset that his mate was dead. Back in Ezri's time anyway. But, what if Worf could change things?]
If I am from your past, can I not change things so that Jadzia does not die?
poor worf
Worf no.
She understands but no.]
You can't hold an entire people responsible for one persons actions. Once upon a time, the same might have been said about Klingons, or Trill, or Vulcan's. You don't remember, but I do. Damar saved our lives.
[Then Ezri would never become a Dax.]
That's a violation of the Temporal Prime Directive- you could be kicked out of Starfleet. You'd be erasing the next Dax lifetime. [She didn't ask to be a Dax but she'd gone into it anyway.]
