[Open] Fuck superstitions tbh.

Who: Shiro and you!
Broadcast: Nope, but you can still reach him through the communicator if you want.
Action: On the planet + the asteroid field.
When: First two weeks of the month, before metaplot hits us.
This got longer than I expected, sorry for all the cuts!

A. The fortune tellers

[Shiro doesn't believe in superstitions or fortune tellers, and whatever amulets he may've had at home was kept because they were gifts, not because he thought they would give him good luck. But he also knows the importance of respecting other cultures and not judging others for their beliefs - that's key in diplomacy. Besides, there are so many races with varied powers, who says they can't actually predict the future?]

TWENTY-NINTH?! [A particular reader exclaims after Shiro mumbles his birthday - February 29th.] You're living a cursed life! A kid trapped in an adult body!

[Shiro is used to leap baby jokes, but this is new. Keeping his poker face is getting more and more difficult right now, and anyone can see his eyebrow twitching...]

Let me see your hands, I beg you, sir, we must determine if--

[The alien screeches when he sees his metal hand, and Shiro is just DONE. He steps back, bumping into you. Help please? The reader is following him...]

B. Exploring + zip-lining

[He's been avoiding the city as much as possible after the fortune incident, so exploring it is! He loves space and all, but he has to admit, it's nice to see some real nature again, especially when it's so similar to Earth.

He visits both Yanti Rock and Eynewa’s Bow, climbing those "thousand steps" and going through the ravine with a smile on his face and barely sweating. Considering how buff he is, it shouldn't be surprising, now is it? Obviously he likes exercise.]

Are you okay there? [If he sees you tired, fellow explorer, he'll offer you his own water bottle, or even an arm to rest against to carry you somewhere when you can sit and rest. That's important too! While his expression during the exploring has been relaxed and content, that changes to very excited when they arrive to the zip-lining area.] Nervous? It can be done in pairs, if you want company.

[The company of a tall, beefy man that who knows how much he weights, yep...]

C. Job: bodyguard (bar area)

[A bodyguard job? Why not! He's patient enough for this, and safety of citizens is important to him. So he puts on his armor from home (sans helmet) and stands by some curtains at the back of the most popular bar in the city. If someone tries to get in, he's quick to put an arm in front of them.]

D. Astronomy

[Oh yes, this captain is getting his chart updated, thank you. But he doesn't leave after he's done with that, no. He stays and talks with the scientist, definitely showing knowledge of the subject himself - passion, too. This is his element, and it shows. He waits patiently for his turn at the amazing, giant observatory telescopes, and handles them like a pro. He'll offer his help too if you need it, fellow space nerd or curious tourist!]

I'm glad places like this exist across the universe, [He comments with an eye on the lens.] I don't want this reality show to ruin people's interest in space.

[There's a raw honesty behind that statement. His own interest hasn't died even after space has broken him, after all.]

E. Asteroid field

[Shiro is wiping the floor with the locals.

And honestly? He doesn't feel bad about it. Well, maybe a liiiiitle bit. But mostly, he doesn't. This is his skill, his training, his years of work, his element. He won't apologize for being good at what he does. Shiro doesn't stop grinning and there's a gleam in his eyes - ask him for a race or a game of chicken. He dares you!

Or maybe you're just in the audience? That's fine too, because he has too many prizes and he doesn't need them all. He's doing this for fun.]

Do you want this? I don't need it. [He asks with a raise of his eyebrow as he hands you an amulet for "bad karma". Ugh, he doesn't want to be anywhere near this thing.]

F. Stargazing - closed to Kate

[He asks her on a whim.

It's not even a proper "asking her". He just mentions where he's going, and tells her she's free to come along. She accepts and well, if he smiles like an idiot then, that's just a coincidence. Yeah.

He finds the tour incredibly interesting, even the ghost stories. Sure, he doesn't believe in superstitions, but he likes old legends that tie in how people in the old days tried to understand space. The local story of the moon being the huntress guardian of the planet/prince definitely touches a fighter like him, especially when he's enjoying the company of someone he wishes to protect with every limb of his.]

Did you enjoy that? [He asks when they finally reach break time, getting comfy on the ground of the outskirts. He looks pretty content with the experience, and she definitely has to do with it.] Or was it too much space talk for you?

[Shiro is walking a bit quicker than usual, because he meant it when he says he wants to get out of here. Keith's glares are good, but this time he has the back-up of a tall, muscled man frowning like crazy, which means the people in the city open the path for them without a word.

He softens up, though, when he hears Keith's offer.]

I heard about that too. I was planning to go after checking out the planet but-- [Yeah, let's not bring that up again.] Want to team up again?

Like we did for the ATV races? Definitely.

[Seeing Shiro calm down even just that little bit was worth it. Keith smiled slightly.]

Besides, [Keith looked a little smug.] I might even do better than you at this.

[He smiles a bit, the sight of Keith being a smug little shit just too amusing not to.

He raises an eyebrow.] Better than me, huh. And why would that be?

[Keith raised both eyebrows in return.]

Uhh... who did you say was the only one who could catch up to Rolo and Nyma in that asteroid field to save the Blue Lion?

I believe I said it was the one with the fastest and smallest lion.

[Just teasing. Of course he believed in Keith's ability too, but he shouldn't going to say that when certain someone is feeling smug, now should he?]

Nope. I distinctly remember something like, "You're the only one who can do it..."

[Keith just smirked. Yup, smug.]

Too bad there isn't an asteroid racing league here. We could have kicked some serious butt.

Are you sure that wasn't Lance crying in your helmet?

[Grinning over here! This teasing and bantering helps him a lot to forget about the fortune tellers and improve his mood.]

I think we can still kick some serious butt. Do you know what the prizes are?

Pretty sure. Lance was crying about being handcuffed to a tree.

[Uh-huh... At least the mood was improving. That was a good sign.]

Honestly, though? He was the one that showed me this place.

[He shrugged at the question.]

I actually didn't even look. After Lance and I did a few runs, I didn't claim mine.

Right! How did it go again? "Don't remember, didn't happen"?

[Is he allowed to joke about the bonding moment drama? He sure hopes so, because he's doing it right now. Especially when he hears Keith has been there with Lance already - interesting. He can't help smiling, it's always good to see Keith being out and social (well, as much as he can be anyway) and getting along with Lance.]

Too busy competing against each other to actually remember prizes are a thing in competitions, huh.

Total lie... [Keith grumbled, but he didn't have a fit over it. Maybe he was slowly losing the grudge. Maybe.]

I don't know. The prizes weren't important. I think he was just trying to help me get out of my own head... which, yeah. It was fun. [He shrugged, all nonchalant about it.]

[For Keith's standards? That's pretty mild. Shiro's actually impressed to see the grudge is slowly disappearing. And sure, Keith may shrug it off, but big bro is on the case.]

I'm glad to see you two getting along and you having fun. Are you still stuck in your own head?

[A way to ask if he's okay.]

[He shrugged again.]

There's still a lot to think about. And that weird feeling that we need to get out of here and get everyone out of here as soon as we can just won't go away. I don't know what it is, or how to describe it. It's like a buzzing or a song or something.

[Shiro trusts Keith's feelings like those, but it's hard to work just based on that. Shoulder Touch™ is a go.]

I see. I really wish we could do something about it, Keith, but we can't start an evacuation based on a dream. But please know I do believe you. None of the people with special powers was able to help you?

I know we can't... but not really. I'm still asking around.

What kind of bothers me about it is that it's not just people with weird powers and stuff that got them. It like... Maybe it was something through the augment. But, the whole singing planet thing? That's definitely stronger with those who are... I guess, 'sensitive'.

[That bothered him, too. A lot of things bothered him. The lack of patterns and discernible reasons bothered him. It was making it harder to figure all this out.]

I just can't put it together.

You're saying you don't find a pattern between singing planets and the dreams, correct? Maybe not all the places from the visions are singing ones.

[Sensitive, Keith calls it, and Shiro can't help remembering some things. The Blue Lion, and the little details in the Marsiva.]

Keith, are you able to sense singing planets?

[Not just the Blue Lion, and the Marsiva glitches... but other hunches and feelings that he'd never really been able to explain growing up. His 'instincts'... things he'd been teased about.

Keith looked uncomfortable for a moment, and then nodded, quickly talking past that question.]

But, it's not just people who seem to be able to sense the planets that got the dreams. And, I don't know if the dreams are all related to a singing planet, since we've only had the one so far. So, yeah... that could be the case. The other two dreams might not be for singing planets.

[If people who didn't actually 'hear' the singing planets had gotten the dreams, then it was safe to say that it might not actually be the planets sending the messages that were in them. But, then, who was?]

[He notices how uncomfortable Keith is, and Shiro wishes he could help, wishes he could tell him they could get together, sit down and find a solution. But he can't. It's something they don't know how to deal with, don't have enough information or resources.

So instead he offers what he can: comfort. He brothers the hell out of Keith, putting an arm around the boy's shoulder and bumping the sides of their bodies together.]

We'll explore those planets when the time comes then. For now, why don't we join those races you told me about?

[Who was distracting who now? But, Keith didn't think about it. He just looked up at Shiro and gave him a small smile as he nodded.]

Yeah. That sounds good.
