[the Marsiva will soon be leaving the good kingdom of Mor behind, and the shuffle chimes in over every speaker to mark the start of the final week. Diamond's voice breaks in as the jingle recedes, and by the sound of the grin in her voice, you people continue to please her to death.

Good morning, my dear passengers! It's another beautiful sunrise over the countryside, today! I hope you're enjoying it. It's a good idea to appreciate these luxuries while you still have them, after all.

Yes, it's always so sad when vacations come to an end.

[she sighs in a wistful way, and there are the shuffle-sounds of paper near the microphone as she presumably straightens her notes.]

We've had quite a boisterous shuffle this week! Five of our number have left us, but double that number have arrived to take their places. The ships are filling up quickly, aren't they? There isn't a single ship out there now that has more than one empty space on it. It really is incredible...

[and she can barely contain the quietly manic tone of excitement at the end there. it's all just too much!]

It looks like there is only one new captain this week! Captain Chopper has left our ranks, but the fearless Captain Phale has taken his place at the helm. Congratulations!

[Robin (who is tall and pale but otherwise mostly inconspicuous) pops his head into whatever room Simon happens to be in. he looks pretty curious!]

Hey, finally. Are you our new medical officer?

[Simon had been checking out the small medbay when the broadcast had happened; he started a little and turned to face the voice, nodding slowly.]

I suppose I am. I am still feeling a little lost, to be honest.

[well, well, well. Robin walks into the room proper, smiling friendly-like and holding out his hand for a handshake.]

The good news is that we're not in any hurry around here. I'm Robin--the captain.

[Simon took the offered hand and shook it.]

Glad to meet you, Captain. I'm Dr. Tam, but Simon will do, too. And that is good... I suppose our audience doesn't expect fast-paced entertainment 24 hours a day, hmm?
