[There have been some mysterious energy drains registering not only on the sensors but in the way the lights seem to dim for a few moments before returning to their normal strength. Maybe a non-essential computer terminal goes dark and needs to be rebooted. It's not causing any damage, but it is mysterious, no?

If you investigate through some special ability or using the ship's diagnostic tools you'll probably come to the conclusion that the energy is funneling into sleeping crewmate, Mon-El's, room and actually right into Mon-El himself. Alien cells are weird, guys.

It only lasts a day or two before he's awake and leaving the ship's energy where it belongs!

And enough about Mon-El, we have a new crewmate (Alphy) and a dead crewmate (Okita). These are exciting times!]

Do not be sorry, I've not had a normal night of sleep in years. [she tilts her head] I've some tea you could try. Or I could use a spell, if you are desperate.

[ She thinks about that for a second, then looks down at her coffee cup... She gives a huff of a laugh - a rueful thing, really. ]

Pretty sure I messed up any chance of tea working by having coffee. But... might take you up on that tomorrow. If it's still okay. And hell if that doesn't work, a spell sounds pretty good right now, too.

[she hums a little] Then consider it an open offer. [a little dryly] If I cannot sleep, at least I can help others manage some.

[ She nods her thanks, takes another sip of her coffee. ]

Take it you can't use the same spell on yourself?

[she shakes her head, briefly making a face]

No, I am immune to sleeping spells. That is what the tea is for. [and she lifts her cup]

[ She gives a sympathetic hum. Must suck to have the option, only to be completely immune... ]

Hopefully it works for you this time. Think we could all use some good sleep after all that.

[Tempest shrugs a shoulder, taking a long sip of tea. The only times she's ever had decent sleep is when it was forced on her - by illness, or by injury, or what-have-you. She was so used to the lack of it that she almost preferred it]
