GOLDSTONE OCTOBER MINGLE
Who: Goldstoners and visitors and lurkers, oh my!
Broadcast: In prompts maybe
Action: Goldstone
When: October
[There have been some mysterious energy drains registering not only on the sensors but in the way the lights seem to dim for a few moments before returning to their normal strength. Maybe a non-essential computer terminal goes dark and needs to be rebooted. It's not causing any damage, but it is mysterious, no?
If you investigate through some special ability or using the ship's diagnostic tools you'll probably come to the conclusion that the energy is funneling into sleeping crewmate, Mon-El's, room and actually right into Mon-El himself. Alien cells are weird, guys.
It only lasts a day or two before he's awake and leaving the ship's energy where it belongs!
And enough about Mon-El, we have a new crewmate (Alphy) and a dead crewmate (Okita). These are exciting times!]

Her eyes drift to the journal briefly]
Is that in reference to the fleet, or the people of the planet we are on?
no subject
Both, [he says simply.] If we cannot help ourselves, we certainly cannot help other people.
I do not believe we have met. My name is Alphinaud-- I work in the infirmary.

[she inclines her head politely] I am tactical. My name is Tempest - well met, Alphinaud.

[He bows shortly.] T'is a pleasure, Tempest. [That seems like a Fake Name but he's not even going to challenge it. He has bigger problems.] Is there aught that needs doing?
[He's eager to keep himself busy, to stave off the sadness and exhaustion that will soon come for him.]

She tilts her head at the question, though, then shrugs her shoulders] Are you looking for more things to do aside from planning?
[there's a faint, teasing lilt to her voice, but she can understand the desire to keep busy. She's filled her notebooks with spells and notes, after all]
