[Sokka looks a little older than when he last appeared on the feed. He's working on his ageing upgrades, but boy does it take its sweet time getting there. He also looks considerably tired, he hasn't been sleeping well for the past week- for a very specific reason.]

Okay. I'm just gonna make this quick. This is me, Sokka of the Southern Water Tribe, sincerely apologising publicly to Katie for doubting her dream catchers and how they work.

Is that enough? Please tell me it's enough I am really done with the weird cat dreams.

Yeaaaah in hindsight that was not a good idea on my part.

Have you come across fake dream catchers before?

I haven't come across any dream catches before. They just sounded like fortune telling fakeness.

How come fortune telling is fake though? Isn't having prophetic dreams and stuff real?

Not where I come from. Not unless you're like...the Avatar or whatever. I went to a whole village run by this fake fortune teller once, it was awful.

Oh wow...was the fortune teller was giving out false prophecies and stuff like that? What for? [Why would anybody ever want to profit off of the trust of other people????? makes no sense]

Because it put her in a position of power. It was always simple ones like. "If you wear blue you will find good fortune" and so the person would ALWAYS wear blue so of course when they got some good fortune it was because of the blue. That's how she conned them.

[Sorey sounds absolutely scandalized.] That's- that's so insidious. That's terrible! She can't just prey on people like that! [Of course, the churches do it back home...] Did you catch her?

voice;

I know, right? It was gross. [He sighs. ] We tried- there was a volcano that nearly destroyed the village, and we had to work hard to get the villagers to evacuate at all- because she told them the village wouldn't be destroyed. We managed to save the place, but of course, because she said it wouldn't be destroyed, they decided she was legit and that was that.

There's no helping some people.

Oh well...I mean, at least they're alive.

Though I wonder what will happen to the town? If she keeps taking their money for fake prophecies, wouldn't the village end up being destroyed in a different way?

Probably? I mean, they were still living by a volcano. We haven't really been that way since.
