Communication Tower Shenanigans

[A mingle for any and all people on the ground making their way toward the comms tower, and all science and tech wizardry that happens thereafter.  For any who can't follow coordinates on land, a light rain will spring up around the tower's general area after the first handful of hours has gone past, as per this broadcast here.]

[Gil needs a break from being frustrated with the tower so he finds her while she's relaxing and comes over. He's not a medical professional and he honestly wishes he had some omni gel, but he can offer company. When he comes near he seems to have a thought and skips right through the 'hellos' and 'how are you doings' to bring up a point.]

You know, there's his fellow named Noctis planetside. His wife, Lunafreya, she healed up my sprained wrist when they found me next to my crashed shuttle. Maybe she can help with your leg too? If we get communications running I'll try to reach out to her.

[Nami's half asleep at first approach, though she blinks awake once he starts speaking fast enough, offering him a weak smile.]

Healers make things so much easier sometimes, don't they? That'd be appreciated.

Husband and wife, huh... [A memory, though a vague one.] Are they the ones that got married on Fleet?

I think so? I haven't met them in person before this planet but I remember a fuss being made before that.

[namisan]

[She vaguely remembers it too. Thought they were either really brave or really stupid, given going home would wipe the wedding from their memory. She can never work out where she falls on that one.]

Either that or they were lucky enough to get brought here together. [She shifts to try finding a more comfy position and peers up at him.] How're you doing? Your ship okay?

[mongoosecrow]

I haven't heard anything about it. I think it might still be in orbit... Or it crashed too far away to get to... Or disintegrated in atmo.... [He frowns a bit with worry.]

I guess we'll see once we get communications back up. I'm on the Blameless normally but was shot down in a shuttle.

[namisan]

I haven't heard any reports of disintegrating ships, if that helps. [It's the sort of thing people would freak about. But she also can't say she's talked to everyone on the ground, so...

She smiles after a moment.] You too, huh? My ship went down, but I was still trying to get to it when I was shot down too. Would have been smarter if I'd just taken off back up to orbit.

Sometimes we do the less-smart thing when people we care about are on the line.

True. Seems to be a common failing around these parts. [The Bloodsport only went down in the first place because her co-pilot was trying to help another ship. Runs in the crew, apparently.]

[mongoosecrow]

I guess what matters then is how you deal with it and learn from it?

[namisan]

Hopefully we won't ever have a next time to apply our new wisdom. I can hope, right?

Right? Not sure this place much likes taking things easy though.
