Communication Tower Shenanigans

Who: Anyone!
Broadcast: Not...yet. Working on that part??
Action: The Comms Tower
When: In the day or two after that zuper zecret broadcazt.

[A mingle for any and all people on the ground making their way toward the comms tower, and all science and tech wizardry that happens thereafter.  For any who can't follow coordinates on land, a light rain will spring up around the tower's general area after the first handful of hours has gone past, as per this broadcast here.]

[HE WILL!!! ]

Ohhhhh, one of those people. Yeah, I can see why you wouldn't like her all that much. Who needs that much obnoxious in their lives, right?

No one. Unfortunately, I was stuck with her for years. Being free of her is the only good thing there was about leaving Denerim. Of course, if I succeed and manage to go home, she'll be there, putting an Orlesian damper on the whole thing. [Her lip curls at the thought.] Forgive my language, but she's a bloody cunt.

Oh, ew. That sucks. Can't you just...I don't know, fire her? You're queen right? You can totally do that. Just tell her she displeases the royal household and kick her out.

[He gives a nod.]

Yeah you know, people like deserve that kinda language.

I sincerely, honestly wish I could. Problem is, she's the wife of Eamon Guerrin. He's Alistair's closest advisor, and the closest thing he has to an uncle. Well, along with Eamon's brother. Anyway, I can't toss her out without tossing him out, and that's never going to happen.

[It really grates her. So. Damn. Much.]

Oh wow. That... that really sucks. So to keep that Eamon guy, you have to put up with his awful wife?

...Maybe you could send her away and make it look like a nice thing? Like pretend she has an important diplomatic quest somewhere far, far away.

Ha, if only. But she's an idiot, so I wouldn't trust her to carry my tea tray up the stairs, let alone handle anything diplomatic. And Eamon wouldn't allow it, frankly. [Eye roll.] Wouldn't want his precious wife to do anything too taxing.
alwayscomeback: (But oh let it go)

[personal profile] alwayscomeback 2017-11-10 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, wow. So basically she gets to swan about and be all snippy without having any actual responsibilities? Gross.

More or less. Really, the same could be said for a lot of the nobility. She learned to keep her distance from me, so I didn't have to deal with her as much as I once did.
alwayscomeback: (And block my ears)

Hey, at least she learned that much. Some people can end up being super oblivious and just carry on regardless. You haven't had to punch her, right? That would be a plus!

No, but Maker knows I've wanted to.

[If it wouldn't have caused a huge scandal, pissed off Eamon and potentially strain things between her and Alistair, she would have.]
alwayscomeback: (Should have been a father to your mother)

I can understand that, but the fact you haven't is a big plus point. You can absolutely say you took the higher road, there.
