[Victor has been on the Iskaulit since the attacks. The Heron is down and so is the Twin Roses. The two rooms he'd usually stay in - his and Yuri's - are both very far away.

He isn't a Captain, or a pilot, or anything of use, actually. He hasn't felt this useless in a very long time. So he stays on the Iskaulit and tries to think of ways that he can get to Yuri.

His voice lacks the enthusiasm he usually puts into it. He has no energy to try for charm. He only wants to ask a question.]


The stranger stated we could send items to the planet.

Do we have any containers that small which could fit a person and they'd be able to survive the fall?


[Someone is probably going to have to convince him not to just launch himself at the planet so he can find Yuri, because he's absolutely seriously thinking about doing that.]

Victor, that is a terrible idea. Even if you survived the drop, how could be sure you would even find him?

I would be closer to it than staying up here.

[Victor. He lets out a worried little groan. ]

You could also die. Did you consider that?

So could he. For all I know, he... [May be already. But he can't really say that part.]


He's probably so scared, Lumiere. He has terrible anxiety. I can't leave him there to do deal with it alone.

[servantnotserving]

[Lumière's tone gets considerably more gentle, trying to soothe him. ]

I know. But he is with his crew, no? They will take care of him, and keep him safe. I am sure he is not the sort to go charging into the wilderness- he will be smart, and stay wherever it is safe. And he absolutely would not want you to risk you own life to get to him.

[Lumiere helps, a lot. Victor sighs and then seems to give in.]

There has to be something I can do for him though?

[For this, he is very glad. He'd rather NOT Victor do anything rash.]

Perhaps send him a gift? Or a message? Something to let him know you are here, alive and thinking of him. Something to give him strength.

I think that would be best, yes.

Much better than the alternative, anyway.

Better than possibly making Yuri suffer even more? I agree.

That is the last thing any of us want, Victor. I promise.

We need to figure out a way to get them to safety. That's all that matters.

We will, I promise. None of us will rest until we get them all back.

In the meantime, we can focus on getting things together to ensure they know that they aren't alone.

[There's a brief pause, and then--]

Look, everybody's got someone down there.

[It takes him a moment to reply]

We were talking about putting messages together and putting those in with the supplies. Did you want to put a message in for someone?

No. I'll give it to him when I see him.

What are you sending?

I haven't put it together yet. But there is so much I want to say. I'll have to think of a good way to ensure that he knows I am safe and want him to stay safe too.

If we get him out fast enough, you won't need to.

... Oh none of us are doing that.

We need to focus our attentions in helping them - not getting ourselves killed.

Wouldn't sending reinforcements be helping them?

[Yes he's such a stand-up role model.]

Or just add more people to the slaughter. We need to help them, not add another person that needs protecting down there.

[Pointed Look - before his expression softens.] I have people I care about down there as well ... people that I love. I understand that you are scared, but let us not charge in and get ourselves horribly murdered, eh?

You are ... the man who organized the ice skating rink, yes? Can you not organize getting the right kind of supplies down to the surface to help them help us?

[goldkiss]

[It's really the softening and offering a different solution that makes Victor listen to Tyrion. He actually stops and considers what he's saying.]

That's right, I could.

Maybe instead, we could put messages in with the supplies, letting them all know we're all right and can't wait to see them again?

[tallasaking]

[Tyrion taps his broken nose, and smiles a little.]

Now that sounds like a solid plan. Along with sending along what we need from them to be able to save them from the nightmare planet below. Frankly I would like to tell my friends that I am coming for them.

That's good. That will let them know that they aren't really alone.

[tallasaking]

Which right now, might be the most valuable gift we can give them right now.

[goldkiss]

We could make sure everyone who wants to say something puts in a message in.

[tallasaking]

Now that is a spot on idea. And ... much less likely to have another person out of our reach whom we can't help, eh?

I know, I know. That was a stupid idea.

Noble, but yes. Stupid. Still, always good to know we have another noble person aboard.

Clearly I have come to the right person if I need to know where to get more than one designer coat. I do not suppose your tailor will see to it that they can fit a dwarf sized frame?

Oh, if we were on Earth I would have a tailor who would be able to make you the finest clothes.

Here, though.... [He sighs a bit, trying not to worry about Yuri so much he can't think.] Perhaps soon.

A person isn't generally adept at surviving falls, I think. [This person does sound genuinely sympathetic, but also maybe a little too casual.] It's an awfully long way.

Yes. I... I have to accept that, I think.

Accepting anything is a choice one makes. Even when it's a necessity. Even when one thinks it could be a necessity.

[He pauses, then says, on a soft breath,]

Choices like that are the heart of it.
