I held a title back home, yes. [Which is his way of neatly dodging the 'actual' part of the question. It was was fuzzy matter since he was both exiled and not at all actual nobility, but he'd had the title nonetheless]
Fairly standard for any wizard of rank in Mélusine. Though it's been a long time since I was home.

Longer than most?

[He continues on his way to cabinets, fishing out a glass] The reason is that I was in another world before this for a span of more than five years.

[He leans back, hands gripping at the surface behind him.]
That's a considerable amount of time away from home.

[He shrugged, however and casually poured himself some tea. He was past the point of complaining about the quality of anything. Openly, at least.]
Some people do the same of their own volition.

[He seems concerned about it, at least. Such a long time...]
I won't bother you too much further with such memories, but I do hope things here aren't so bad.

Not as such. Atroma seems to have a slightly different goal and mode of operation. At least it gives us more chances to get to know one another.
[The smile widens, and he gestures in Oren's direction with his glass]
But what about you? What did you do before this?

I was a Prince.
[He steps back just enough to give a grand bow, hand flipping to curve before him.]
Nocta Oren, the royal prince of Renacht and the Outer Cities, Lord of the Holy March and all sands conquered, Ambassador to the Nomadic Tribes of the Sentik Desert, son of High Priestess Binali of the Grishalt line, and brother to the future queen of Renacht, Nocta Ensa.
[He stands, slowly, letting that sink in for just a moment before he allows a small laugh.] In less words, I worked as a merchant as much as I could.

Well then. This is something of a step down for you then, hm? At least you're used to traveling.

[Leaning against the wall behind him, he relaxes a bit more.] I've always enjoyed this sort of thing. I consider it an adventure.
no subject
Do you get kidnapped often?
no subject
Excuse me?
no subject
'This' sort of thing, you said. I certainly didn't sign up to be here, so I thought the same would be true for you.
