Broadcast: To Team Voltron
Action: Huntress, Iskaulit, The Melting Pot
When: Varies
Happy Birthday (Late)
On the Huntress, as the Fleet leaves the system
[Keith found the crate in the cargo bay. Having seen what comes from these already, he was slightly concerned. Lance had gotten one for his birthday. He wasn't sure what to think about this. He stepped forward and, sure enough, it was for him.
He took a deep breath, glanced around to make sure he was alone, and then opened it.
...
Man... Keith was pretty sure he didn't want anyone to see this... which meant it was highly likely someone else on the ship was going to as he tried to figure out what to do with it.]

Happy Late Birthday, the Party Edition
On the Iskaulit, two days after Friendsgiving
[Shiro and Lance had gotten permission from Jarvis to use the Melting Pot for a small birthday dinner for Keith. It was over a month late, but the cannibal race clearly didn't care about Keith's birthday. Now that things had calmed down, it was time to do something nice for their teammate. Respecting Keith's dislike for large, noisy parties, they'd gone the smaller "family dinner" type of event route.
Invited: Team Voltron, Huntress crew, Kirk, Kate, Sokka, Kaname, Freya, Luna, Arthur, Kitty, Vash, Prompto, Katie, Looma, Lumière, almost anyone who's had positive CR with Keith... if you're not sure, ask. Party crashers are cool, but antagonistic crashers will be escorted out.]

Finding Space
On the Iskaulit, during the birthday party as Keith excused himself to the "bathroom" for a moment
[Keith had managed to get some time away from the party using the excuse that he needed a short break. He appreciated it, sure, but it was a little overwhelming to be the center of attention for this long. So, he headed out for a bit. He'd go back, but he needed some air... or space... or something.
He stepped into a small space he'd never noticed before. It was empty, but he'd been debating a few things for a while now, like how the team was split between different ships, and it would be nice for them to have a shared space to hang out. He took some time looking it over before heading back to the party. It seemed like a cool idea. He'd tell them after the party was over...]

On the Huntress, the day after the birthday party
Hey, guys... I found something on the Iskaulit last night I kind of wanted to show you. Mind meeting me there?

Decorating Lessons
On the Iskaulit, December 1
[So, for fun, since there wasn't much in the space, yet, anyway, and because Lance had gotten his hands on a bunch of Christmas decorations somehow, Team Voltron was decorating their new space. Mistletoe, anyone?
The space will eventually be private, but it's not hard to find, and the team welcomes friends, so feel free to stop by and watch them be silly with decorations!]

Birthday Party
Birthday Boy
Still, though, after two parties and three days, he was going to be taking a loooooong break from social things... at least, he thought he would be. But, for now, he was going to try and enjoy himself.]
no subject
Hey, buddy. Enjoying yourself?
no subject
[Keith gave Shiro a small smile.]
I didn't think my list was this big, but it's not bad.
[Shiro would also probably notice that Keith wasn't moving as stiffly anymore. Definitely not sore.]
no subject
I was surprised, I must admit. But a good kind of surprised. Look at all the friends you've made, Keith. You've come a long way.
no subject
I guess.
[He didn't want to think about it too much.]
Thanks, though. For putting this together.
no subject
No need to thank me. Everyone deserves to have a nice birthday - you specially. I know you haven't celebrated many this way-- [Considering that shitty childhood.] --so we're gonna make up for it as much as we can.
no subject
You don't have to do that, really. It's not a big deal.

Re: Birthday Boy
Unfortunately, the last planet wasn't exactly a hotspot for birthday shopping, and he didn't have time to piece something together. He does come with armed with a small stack of long overdue photos in an envelope - tied with a festive ribbon!]
Happy birthday, Keith!
no subject
Hey, thanks. I'm glad you came.
[He took the offered envelope, holding on to it for now.]
How are you holding up?
[They'd run into each other at Kirk's Friendsgiving party, and they'd both been a little bruised up. Kaname had forced Keith to go see Luna about getting healed, so the Red Paladin was actually looking and moving a heck of a lot better since then.]
no subject
[He gives a shrug.]
I'm good. Can't complain.
[He nods to the "gift" with a grin.]
And sorry in advance. There was no time or place to nab a real present. I owe you a reasonably safe action adventure of your choice on the next not-horrible planet we land on.
no subject
[Keith considered it for a moment, and then smirked a little.]
That's a lot of qualifiers. I don't know if I can think of something with so many restrictions on it.
[Tease tease.]
Still, it's fine. This idea was all Shiro and Lance. I probably wouldn't have bothered. [He shrugged a little and then looked down at the envelope again.]
Should I open it now or wait?
no subject
[If not the next planet, then the next, or the next, provided they weren't all awful or didn't blow up or whatever.
Good friends were awesome.]
You can open it if you want. Or not. It's yours.
no subject
Alright.
[Keith felt a little weird opening it right away, but, at the same time, he didn't want to give the impression that it wasn't important. It wasn't like they had set up a gift table or something. The last two systems were really rough on them, and gift buying wasn't exactly something that Keith was expecting to have happened... especially because he didn't exactly broadcast that his birthday was coming up.
So, since he didn't have a place to put it right away, and he really didn't want to do a big spotlight-worthy gift opening session (please no), he decided to just open it there.]
Oh, hey... cool. These are from the wedding.
[The sparkler pictures actually came out really cool with the streaks of light. And then there were also the ones from when they'd gone skydiving. Keith smiled at those, too.]
That's awesome. Thanks.

[Kaname knows he'll understand her joke, placing a hand on his shoulder in greeting as she walks over to him from the side. Once in view, she lets it drop.]
It's a little late, but happy birthday, Keith.
no subject
Thanks. Hunk made the cake, so I'm sure it's way better already.
[Sure, not all of Hunk's experiments came out perfect, but a good eighty percent or more came out really darn good. Keith wasn't worried.]
Thanks for coming.
no subject
[She already does either way.] You'll have to tell me how it is before I try any.
[Kaname chuckles.]
Of course. I like to wish my friends well for their birthdays at the very least. Unfortunately, your present now will be an IOU.
no subject
[Not that Keith was an amazing cook, by any means, but he liked food, and Hunk made good food, so it counted in his head.]
Alright, fine. I'll let you know.
[He shook his head at her comment about the gift, though.]
Don't worry about it. The gifts aren't important.
[Keith wasn't sentimental like that over stuff. He was used to not having a lot of things anyway, so it was fine. For him, it was more about the time spent with others and the activity than the gift.]
no subject
Humor me. I've found a way to spend some time, and I don't want that taken away from me just yet.
[It's only partly an excuse, even if she does enjoy a task to keep her occupied.]
Besides, would you really turn it down if I presented you with a gift?

Re: Birthday Party
Hey! There’s the man of the hour! Happy birthday and thank you for the invitation.

Afraid I didn't really think of a gift to bring. [Or a planet NOT filled with cannibals to shop at.]
no subject
[Keith shrugged.]
I guess. I haven't really celebrated one in a while.
It's fine. It's not really about the gifts.

no subject
I guess it is.
[He hadn't really thought about it. His reasons for not celebrating weren't really related to maturity anyway, but he didn't want to get into that right now.]
Are you doing okay after everything?
