[When the feed comes on, it's absolutely Sokka's forge in the background, but the person in the foreground is pretty damn different. Still, as soon as he opens his mouth, he is absolutely still Sokka. There's no growing up out of that, clearly.]

Sooooo, that sure was two years worth of growing done in one night. That was a fun twist on the upgrades there, thanks Atroma. I personally feel spoiled. You shouldn't have.

[Yep. The sarcasm is strong, it's still Sokka. He plucks at the Drift Fleet jumpsuit he's wearing with clear distaste. It's the only thing that fits him right now.]

So, on the off-chance we don't go to a fun system with shopping next and instead go back to a horrible nightmare planet seen as that's in vogue right now- I might need to get someone who can actually sew clothes to maybe rescue me from this Beige Hell. Please.

[He needs to be wearing blue again.]

OH! That reminds me. I got some interesting intel from our cavalry last month - if you wanna know about that kinda of stuff drop by the forge. I'd rather not talk about that over the network because of the whole Atroma's always listening thing. You get it.

[Velvet doesn't respond to the broadcast. Instead she just wanders into the forge at some point to look around. In spite of having commissioned something from one of the elves before she hasn't actually been inside the forge before. That's really more Rokurou's thing. But the recent shenanigans made her realize how much she missed having an extra blade in her boot, so here she is.

She approaches Sokka when she sees him.]

Hey, you work here?

[Sokka offers her a smile as she enters. ]

If I don't, I've sure been taking some major liberties with the equipment here.

[She huffs. In amusement, probably]

As long as you know how to use the equipment, that’s good enough for me.

I sure do. [He leans back on a counter with a smile. ] You want a commission?

Yeah. But it might be a little tricky.

I like tricky. I can do tricky. What do you need?

I need a small blade that can be ejected from my boot. Kind of like this-- [She demonstrates the gauntlet she wears on her right forearm (it works like so)] but smaller.

[Basically she wants to be able to shank people when she kicks them. There's nothing wrong with that right? It's legit.]

[Okay, this is officially cool. Sokka makes a please 'oooooooh~' because he LOVES shit like this. He leans in to get a better look, a grin plastered across his face. ]

I can absolutely do this. [So legit. ] I'd need to make a spring-trap mechanism for it, one that's got a specific way of triggering it so you don't accidentally trigger it and get your foot trapped in a grate or something. It's doable though.

[Oh, good. That's a good reaction. It means even if it's difficult it'll probably turn out okay because he's enjoying himself.]

Yeah, it makes sense. I had one back home, but the Atroma took it.

[Because of course they did.]

[It will be a PERSONAL CHALLENGE to him, so it's even better. He pulls a face, of course, of course. ]

Ugh, tell me about it, they took all my weapons too. I've got them back, over the years, but it's besides the point. They were still taken in the first place.

Yeah, it was bad enough before. It became even worse when they threw cannibals at us.

[Or threw them at cannibals. Whatever. She thought maybe she could get by with just her gauntlet blade, but after everything that's happened she wants the one for her boot too.]

The cannibals was a whole bunch of crazy awful on top of what was already crazy and awful. But yeah, being weaponless at a time like that would have sucked.

[Hey that works, right? Sure. ]

Anyway, this is do-able. I might be able to right it up so you can use it on different footwear, too. A lady needs to adapt.

[She doesn't really think of herself as a lady but that's neither here nor there at the moment.]

Sounds good. How much do you think it'll cost?

Not a whole lot. I don't change much to be honest, just enough that I can buy metal in other planets when I come across it. Only about ten credits or so- there's something distasteful about taking people's money they get from Atroma paying them for their suffering.

[That's super fair, honestly.]
