[When the feed comes on, it's absolutely Sokka's forge in the background, but the person in the foreground is pretty damn different. Still, as soon as he opens his mouth, he is absolutely still Sokka. There's no growing up out of that, clearly.]

Sooooo, that sure was two years worth of growing done in one night. That was a fun twist on the upgrades there, thanks Atroma. I personally feel spoiled. You shouldn't have.

[Yep. The sarcasm is strong, it's still Sokka. He plucks at the Drift Fleet jumpsuit he's wearing with clear distaste. It's the only thing that fits him right now.]

So, on the off-chance we don't go to a fun system with shopping next and instead go back to a horrible nightmare planet seen as that's in vogue right now- I might need to get someone who can actually sew clothes to maybe rescue me from this Beige Hell. Please.

[He needs to be wearing blue again.]

OH! That reminds me. I got some interesting intel from our cavalry last month - if you wanna know about that kinda of stuff drop by the forge. I'd rather not talk about that over the network because of the whole Atroma's always listening thing. You get it.

Pretty much. I mean, it's weird. Not ageing for three years. Like your brain is this age but your body's not. People kinda treat you like a kid when you look like one, too.

Huh, lucky you, I guess. Yeah, I really wasn't a fan of that part. I got a lot of "you're awfully young to be a captain" conversation starters.

That's right. He just got suddenly older recently too. Just not as older.

He did. I mean, you never know, in a year or two he might be our age.

Thanks! I was in a coma for thirty-five years of it. [Did he not age because of the well of stars or because Daxamites are weird? The world may never know.]

Well, some of it would have just been flying alone through space. I don't mind missing that.

Yeaaaah, after flying through space for a while, if you're not making any pit stops, it sure isn't fun. It be pretty awful to do THAT alone for so long.

The journey shouldn't have taken that long on it's own. That was the well of stars' fault, but it still saved me some time staring into space with nothing to do. [Except stew in a mix of survivor's guilt and fear.] I'm just glad the Atroma's coma was only two months.

Oh yeah, we can all be glad Atroma comas last way shorter, generally.

You know, maybe we should ask the Interceptors. Maybe one HAS lasted that long. We don't know how long a cycle should be, right?

Okay, that's alarming. Why even have cycles when they keep changing us out mid-cycle though?
