[When the feed comes on, it's absolutely Sokka's forge in the background, but the person in the foreground is pretty damn different. Still, as soon as he opens his mouth, he is absolutely still Sokka. There's no growing up out of that, clearly.]

Sooooo, that sure was two years worth of growing done in one night. That was a fun twist on the upgrades there, thanks Atroma. I personally feel spoiled. You shouldn't have.

[Yep. The sarcasm is strong, it's still Sokka. He plucks at the Drift Fleet jumpsuit he's wearing with clear distaste. It's the only thing that fits him right now.]

So, on the off-chance we don't go to a fun system with shopping next and instead go back to a horrible nightmare planet seen as that's in vogue right now- I might need to get someone who can actually sew clothes to maybe rescue me from this Beige Hell. Please.

[He needs to be wearing blue again.]

OH! That reminds me. I got some interesting intel from our cavalry last month - if you wanna know about that kinda of stuff drop by the forge. I'd rather not talk about that over the network because of the whole Atroma's always listening thing. You get it.

Did they say why they haven't returned home. It if that's what they're doing?

They can't. Whatever technology brought us here is in Atroma's hands and just their hands. The lady I spoke to said she'd been here overall for like ten years. So- yeah. My great plan of getting us all out and home is kind of...less so right now.

[He's not happy about that. It's been his endgame plan since he got here, and now? ]

Ten years. [He whistles. It's not long for him, but he knows for humans it is.] Don't let it dash your great plan. Who knows, maybe someone in this fleet is the key to get back to our homes. Things can change any day so don't give up.

Did she mention anything about people who the Atroma send away? Do they know for sure what happens to them?

Maybe. But it never happened for them. It's just a little...disheartening.

[He works with solid, hard facts- he knows about beating seemingly insurmountable odds, but even the Fire Nation had weaknesses he could exploit. Atroma have nothing. Sokka's capacity for optimism is usually pretty low to start with, this is not helping matters. ]

Yeah, I asked. She said they go home, as far as she was aware. They didn't seem to be keeping them anywhere else- so home seems to be the only option. Means they can grab them again if they want to.

Hm, because I thought the prize for "winning" this show is to go home. Not that I've noticed any real contests or points or well, anything that seems to go with a game with prizes.

But that does make me feel a bit better if they think they really go home as well.

So did I. But it seems you go home no matter what, which is....something, at least.

[He has so many people he misses and cares about- it's comforting to know they're back home and not locked in some Atroma holding cell or trapped in hypersleep or whatever. ]

There's always some good somewhere. It just can take awhile to find sometimes. [Muttered with a sigh.] I'm glad we were finally able to talk again to the other fleet. It's too bad they lost one of their ships.

It is, but at least we could make contact. Maybe start up something...I don't know, better? It's not really light at the end of the tunnel, but it's acknowledging there is an end to the tunnel. Eventually.
