[When the feed comes on, it's absolutely Sokka's forge in the background, but the person in the foreground is pretty damn different. Still, as soon as he opens his mouth, he is absolutely still Sokka. There's no growing up out of that, clearly.]

Sooooo, that sure was two years worth of growing done in one night. That was a fun twist on the upgrades there, thanks Atroma. I personally feel spoiled. You shouldn't have.

[Yep. The sarcasm is strong, it's still Sokka. He plucks at the Drift Fleet jumpsuit he's wearing with clear distaste. It's the only thing that fits him right now.]

So, on the off-chance we don't go to a fun system with shopping next and instead go back to a horrible nightmare planet seen as that's in vogue right now- I might need to get someone who can actually sew clothes to maybe rescue me from this Beige Hell. Please.

[He needs to be wearing blue again.]

OH! That reminds me. I got some interesting intel from our cavalry last month - if you wanna know about that kinda of stuff drop by the forge. I'd rather not talk about that over the network because of the whole Atroma's always listening thing. You get it.

[Keith looked somewhat surprised, and then shook his head.]

[And then he remembered the other part of Sokka's message.]

Oh... uh... you said to stop by the forge for that other thing, right? Have you though about adding it to our stash?

[He came in, having not been to the forge, yet, and looked around once he entered. Okay, so this was impressive, actually.]

Sokka?

[Keith didn't immediately see him.]

[It took a lot of work, Sokka's pretty damn proud of it. He peers up from whatever he was working on, grinning and heading over with a wave. ]

[Keith headed over.]

Pretty cool place.

[He grins, looking around him. ]

I know right? It's pretty awesome, and does a great job here. Atroma can't keep us unarmed any more.

[Keith nodded.]

Maybe I'll stop by and order something... or, if you're willing to teach... [He let that hang a bit. Keith wouldn't mind learning.]

But, hey... you said you got some new information? From the Interceptor Fleet?

That would be a big yes-eroo to both of those things.

[He's always willing to teach others, the Forge needs to be kept going, should anything happen to him, after all. Besides, the help is always handy.]

I do! I talked to the lady with the husky voice. Found out how they actually broke free of Atroma in the first place. No details, but the general jist.

[Keith gave Sokka a small smile in response, and nodded. Good. They could talk about setting up some sort of schedule for that later. Right now... Interceptors.]

Really? There's a way?

[Oh, yes... very interesting!!]

[Sokka exhales. ]

It's...not great. They did something with an augment- managed to turn one off, from the sounds of it- there was a nebula involved. She said they had a lot of heavy losses when they did it.

[tempredmental]

[That got Keith to cringe a little. Losses...]

Losses in what way? Did people... die?

[That sounded like a heavy risk.]

I don't know for sure, but it sounded that way.

[While Keith had long since accepted that risk in the things he'd been doing back home, the idea of dying here and not getting back was pretty grim. He frowned.]

I'm guessing they haven't found a way back to their homes, either... since they're still here.

Hmm. She said that the technology needed to get home is in Atroma's hands. Without being able to take it from them, there's no way of getting out of here.

[tempredmental]

[Keith took a deep breath, crossing his arms with a frown.]

I'm guessing they haven't figure out a way to do that, yet. I mean, we don't even know where this Atroma even is. We'd have to find them first before we could even think about it.

Exactly. I mean, it might be on the Marsvia- or it could be somewhere else. For all we know, Atroma might be a whole planet somewhere.

[tempredmental]

Considering what we've seen of planets, I wouldn't be surprised of that, either.

[Singing planets still unnerved Keith a bit because he could feel the energy from them, but he tended not to talk about that.

But then, something sort of visibly clicked in his thoughts.]

This might sound crazy, but those other planets... the ones that were calling for help. And those ships... like the Marsiva. Do you think that's all related? And to the Atroma? I mean, one of the messages said something about sisters and waking them up. What if... [He stopped himself, pulling back... like he was almost afraid of letting it out for some reason.] Nevermind. It's probably stupid.

Dude, I come from a world where a lot of weirdness can be put to spirits doing weird things. There's not a whole lot I'd dismiss as stupid right off the bat.

Besides, the way Atroma can literally get into our heads... well, as much as I hate to admit there could be a strange magical-slash-psychic element to it...there's a good chance there is. I wouldn't put anything being connected outside the realms of possibility at this point.

[Keith huffed a soft sigh and then chewed slightly on his lower lip in thought, listening to Sokka basically agree with him.]

I wonder if the Inteceptors had been tied to the Marsiva or if they had a different escort ship. Nami mentioned there had been another one a while back that you guys came across... before I got here. And it was sending out weird messages similar to what we've been getting from the planets this time around.

Also, those weird glitches that none of remember seeing during calibrations... what if something's happening to the Marsiva? If it's a captive being, like what it sounds like from that other downed ship, it might be waking up. There could be a way for us to try to finish waking it up, and maybe... I don't know... use it against Atroma?

[He knew it was a super duper long shot, since none of them could even get on board the Marsiva without some sort of dire situation or without calibrations happening. What he remembered of the area he'd been in on arrival, it had been somewhat small, and he'd been restricted and unable to go anywhere else on the ship.]

Yeah, that's right.

...Wow, that's a grim thought. But maybe you're right? It would make sense with what we know so far. And Atroma have already proven that they're super okay with capturing and using just about anything and everyone. Why not a sentient ship?
