[The video opens on Thor. For those who've met him, it might take half a second to realise that, because his appearance has markedly changed. His long hair has been hacked short, and he's wearing an eyepatch over his right eye. It's weird. It doesn't even have a strap. Even his armor is different, much less flashy and looking worse for wear than the other silver set he'd had previously.

The look on his face is a bit harried, but he starts off with a long drawn out:]

So... [This just had to be his first address to the network, didn't it. Thanks, fate.] Hello. I had heard before that people in this place could fall asleep and end up back home for a while. It seems I now count myself among them. I have to say it's much more confusing to experience yourself. I think it's been only a few days here.

[He rubs at his chin a bit, looking off to the side in thought for a moment. This whole business on top of everything else makes him feel downright exhausted.]

Doesn't feel like it, though. [Thor returns his attention to the communicator, with a little shrug and less of a pensive look.] I'll add it to my list of grievances against the Atroma. I'm sure we'll have a library's worth to throw at them before the end.

If anything has happened in the last few days, I would be glad to hear it. If we haven't yet met, I am Thor, son of Odin, God of Thunder, and king of Asgard.

[It still sounds strange to him, though he trucks through it as gamely as he can.]

Rogers, Natasha, I need to talk to you both.

Oh-- [He smiles a bit, though it's a shade deadpan.] And happy new year.

[Later, Thor sets about re-familiarising himself with the Blue Fish again, poking around the rooms and going through the kitchen cupboards. He could honestly use the distraction that pointless busy work can give, or conversation with anyone he happens to run into.]

Did they manage to take you from some especially dramatic time to make it worse?

Yeah... or at the least, the end of it.

[He hates to think about being zapped back here in the midst of Ragnarok. He would have been bouncing off the walls with stress. Now, at least, he can keep a lid on it.]

A lot happened in the time I was away.

Well, two years. Hard to imagine they'd be entirely uneventful. Is it hard to remember this place? We only met once. Do you remember me?

[It feels like a while ago, yet his memory of it seems fresher than it should.]

I do, though it's a little hazy.

[He grins a bit.]

How are the Avengers doing two years into the future? Steve, Wanda, Vision, Natasha? The others?

Of them, unfortunately I can't say. I haven't seen any of them these past two years. The only Avengers I've been in touch with is Banner... who was missing for about that long.

That is very out of touch. Are you sure you're still an Avenger? Don't they have membership dues that have to be paid or casual Fridays to attend?

[Thor opens his mouth, then shuts it.]

Uh. Look, I'm sure it's fine. I was away on an Avengers mission.

[So obviously he still is one, long delays notwithstanding.]

That is one extremely long-term mission.

[Maybe they stole your stuff while you were gone.]

[They better not have touched his magic belt.]

Yeah, it was open-ended. I'm on my way back to Earth at present though.

[No, sir. You never touch a gentleman's magic belt!]

You're on your way to more ratings in space at present-er.

[He groans, because yeah. Yeah.]

You know what I mean though.

I do. I hope it goes well. You know, assuming you actually go home sometime or get another one of these downloads of information. Keep that Earth safe. It has it's problems, but it's still important to a lot of us.

Don't worry - Earth is important to me too.

[More than ever, now that Asgard is gone.]

Looks like I hit a wall of secrecy. Unfun topic? Holds life and death in the balance? Embarrassing?

Something like that. It's a matter I would prefer to discuss with the other Avengers first.

[And maybe, he's delaying it. Doesn't want to talk about it so much yet, when it's particularly raw and he's not close to most people here yet. It's a lot to explain to those who don't know him quite as well.]

Oh, sure rub the team stuff in my face since there are only two X-Men here. [Four mutants though. Maybe she can recruit Remy and Billy.]

[But more seriously.] I hope it all works out. Whatever it is.
