They're in a crowded bar, people crammed in every which place. It's a hectic bustling little dive and Noctis almost regrets being in here with so many others but once they are in the bar it's easy to disappear among all the chaos. People were laughing, being merry, some were singing karaoke, some were yelling at a TV screen. A typical bar...

He had wanted to stay in Prompto's room and sleep himself into oblivion. He's been a pathetic mess since Luna left. He hasn't had the decency to come off First Breath to even speak to her friends. People like Cloud and Sorey got the proverbial cold shoulder because Noct can't handle being awake lately. Being aware of her tangible absence threatened to crush him. Then Ignis too. He was waiting for Prompto to be gone and to wake up in his empty room but so far they're an army of two and Noct can't articulate how grateful he is to have at least one friend at his side during this.

But then again he has friends he's been neglecting. Friends who must be missing Luna too. So when Cloud called him... he knew he needed to get out. He can imagine Luna so clearly pushing him out the door and saying "go have fun, love! See you later!" and shutting the door as if to seal the deal. He had credits left over from his and Luna's stash. The Atroma paid them generously for some reason... he didn't like dwelling on why but he wouldn't pass up the chance to spend the credits on food for the First Breath or booze for him and Cloud.

Thus, they are here and the dogs are curled up on the floor at their feet. There's a chef frantically rushing around the place delivering varations of barbcue, sushi, and "today's special" which he didn't dare bother with. He got sushi for the dogs. And a bottle.... and another bottle....

"Thanks.... for coming." he pours himself a glass and gestures to Cloud that he'll pour one for him if he's ready. "I hadn't drank since Luna... since the wedding. I almost missed it."
