Sometime in the evening, the Space Bar plays host to a very interesting poker game; Kitty, in her infinite wisdom, having chosen that activity to keep their hands busy while they joke, catch up, and possibly scar poor Billy’s mind (Kurt).

The poker game isn’t closed to the four of them, however; anyone who wanders over will be offered a seat and the chance to be dealt into the game. So come! Pull up a chair and be dealt in, or just wander over and socialize. Distract the players. Just don’t set anything on fire that isn’t made to be.

[She laughs.] I don't think you have to worry about it anytime soon. But we all would be weirdly good at getting out if we were locked up.

Now that, that sounds like a great night out, or in, or both considerin' the whole 'breakin' out' thing. But clearly, need to do it on a planet just before we leave, so don't need to lay low durin' the whole time there or 'nything. [A bright grin to back up his joking as he moved to refill his glass in preparation for whenever he was going to have his next drink.]

I actually did get arrested on a planet awhile back. I let them take me in to avoid a chase then just let myself out when no one was looking. Maybe we'll run into some bounty hunters at some point.

Oh yeah? 'nd ya didn't 'nvite me? [He had started off sounding amused before it switched to mock insulted for part of his act.] 'm hurt, petite, real hurt that ya didn' think to 'nclude me in that. How am I suppose to keep up my bad boy 'mage if I don't get thrown in jail now and then? [Though by the end of it all he was grinning again, unable to help himself and giving up on trying to pretend he was upset at her.]

You know, I didn't even realizing I was breaking the law. They were just really sensitive to cursing. I was extremely cool afterward though. Everyone thought so. [Teasing.]

For cursin'? Merde, [And proof he would be thrown in jail for that too.] If that gets jail time then would hate to think what their life 'mprisonment or death penalty would be. That 'nd guess one of the advantages of swearin' in 'nother language, not everyone picks up ya doin' it.

You really know how to game the system, Remy. [Looking amused.] But their translators might pick it up even if the ones here let it slip through.

Which, merde, don't make sense at all, [And something that annoyed the hidden sci fi geek in him. Not that Remy would admit it.] How they even know how to translate our languages. I mean, short of this whole abductin' thing be goin' on for much longer than 'ny of us really know, they still had to start this somewhere.

I'm not sure this feels like poker talk. It seems more like serious business talk and that's normally my job to derail fun times with that kind of thing.

Non, this is three quarters of a bottle 'nd a couple of smokes talk. Should see how bad I get after a bottle 'nd half. [A bright and wicked grin sent her way as he made it a point to lift one of his shot glasses and taking another drink, as if to push the point.]

Most do deeper talk when sober 'nd nonsense when not, I be more the other way 'round; ignorin' responsibility normally 'nd dealin' with life drunk. Not sure which one is the better choice.

Sounds fair enough. I usually blend my depth with my nonsense whether I'm sober or drunk, so I can probably keep up if that's what you're into.
