[Sandalio has always been a clever one so it really hasn't taken him long to get a feel for this augment of his. Particularly since it really is helping with the one thing he happens to believe he excels at. Talking to other people. So Sandalio has set about to reach out to whoever might be listening. To help distract him from being away from his pack and Lyall. To stop the loneliness. To help ignore the confusion of not knowing where night begins and day ends...

I am the Lord Falmouth, Sandalio de Rabiffano. Presently I have an inquiry of sorts given the state of matters as they are. Where might one procure a decent cup of tea? While we are on the topic, if you will forgive me, is there a way to have meat?

He may or may not be wearing a shirt - it's hard to tell since he's not showing his entire body, but his shoulders definitely hint at being bare. ]}

The Marsiva usually has the best stocked kitchen of all the ships, if I remember right. Well, that's not true. The Iskaulit probably has the best, but the Marsiva should have a good stock unless it's had a redesign since I was there.

[Okay. So he has a lover. But that isn't going to stop him from noticing that someone is very aesthetically pleasing to look at. That sort of lack of shame would be welcome among werewolves too.

The Marsiva does give you quite a bit of time to think, that's true. But you won't be there for long. You'll get transferred to one of the smaller ships soon, so when you wake up somewhere new in the next few days don't be alarmed. Perfectly normal.

I know where you can get meat! I always hunt on the planets, and I have plenty of meat that I freeze. Of course I can't help you while you're on the Marsiva, but once you're shuffled, come by the Blue Fish. I can help you out.

It seems I've made a possible friend who will help me with the meat concerns. However, I must say that I am thoroughly pleased to have someone who can help with the tea.

It is difficult enough not being able to feel the difference between day and night so far. At least tea would help to remove some of the discomfort of this situation.

You do get used to it, I promise you. It's easier when we can spend time down on a planet, but until then all I can say is that we do adjust.

Ah, I rather meant I can usually sense when the sun will be rising. I seem to be...without that. It's a rather disconcerting feel in all honesty. Not to mention not being on the ground. I'm honestly surprised I haven't become ill yet.

Presently no. I suppose I simply am to wait for this supposed "shuffle" so I can be assigned somewhere? That has been my understanding of this mess at least.

Oh! [ Not an unusual ability, with the people that Hermione has known in her time, but it does make her think. Nothing she'll say aloud, of course. ] Well, if you do ever feel sick please, let me know. I've been working hard to make sure we have lots of potions and remedies for anything that people might be feeling.

[ And, suspiciously, she's well aware of how to treat a werewolf, should it ever come up. ]

That's how it works, yes. As soon as you're off the Marsiva you should be able to go wherever you'd like.

Potions and remedies? Are you one for chemistry perhaps? How wonderful! Though, I'm not certain what can be done for me. After I stopped being human my body stopped responding to things normally. Much of the time it is rather like I have only consumed water.

[Not that he longs for anything like that or anything. He just is rather used to the facts of his status now.]

I'm not sure what there is to treat for a werewolf really. We tend to be a rather sturdy bunch. Even one so small for the kind as I. All the same, you do have my gratitude for your offer. At the very least I can know someone here is familiar with the supernatural kind.

I have noticed the kindness here.

One of my best friends was a werewolf. I was taught some magic to make the transformations easier and less painful, if that's a problem for you, and a potion to help them keep their senses if that's something that you struggle with. I... Have personal experience with them.

[ There's scarring on her neck that shows just how close she got to a werewolf, but she's not about to show him that. ]

Forgive me but would it be to troubling to have you elaborate on this potion? What exactly it does?

It lets a werewolf hold onto their mental state when they transform. Werewolves in my world would lose control of themselves during the full moon, and the creation of this potion made it so that they were still themselves despite being a wolf.

[ She just keeps smiling, careful and gentle. ]

I've never heard of this possibility. My pack has always found a place that is safe for us to be instead during the full moon.

[And he's concerned his body wouldn't even accept this potion considering how he needs to actually consume far too much formaldehyde just to experience intoxication again.]

I don't suppose you have a pack here, do you? [ She frowns, thinking. ] We could try the potion, if you'd like. My friend also tried having other sentient animals around - do you think that would work for you?

No. My pack is nowhere here. I would be able to feel that. [He closes his eyes a moment, takes a deep breath. Being without his pack is...very difficult. He knows if he weren't an alpha he would possibly lose himself in this.]

I'm afraid it wouldn't. My pack is bound to me. I am their tether. While I can manage on my own, I still feel the emptiness that comes from not being able to sense them. It is simply something I will have to manage for the time being. Thank you for the suggestion all the same.

Oh, I'm sorry. I don't wish that they were here, because I'm sure that would be worse for them, but... [ Hermione pauses, hesitating for a brief moment.

Still, she wishes there was something she could do. ] If there's anything I can do, please, let me know. I can become an animal that might work, and I'm sure Romulus wouldn't mind spending some time with you - [ And, as she speaks, a large wolf head peeks into the frame, only for Hermione to laugh and nudge it away. ]
