[Kitty appears on video looking a liiiiiiittle different than the way she usually looks. The augment had some fun adjusting her. She’s not a cat, but she’s certainly got a lot of catlike features which isn’t unheard of for a mutant.

The pupils of her eyes are no longer round, but a slit. Her nails have also changed, growing to a point and hooking slightly to serve more as claws. Her fangs have extended slightly. Her ears now come to more of a point and are soft and fuzzy like the rest of her body. There’s a short layer of fur everywhere now, similar in color to her usual skin tone, but with gray tabby-like striped markings appearing over certain parts of her body like her face, legs, arms, and tail. Oh, yeah, there’s a tail too. Of course there is.]

Okay. Just get all the puns and jokes out of your systems right now.

[You might spot the direwolf pup, Seeker run by with Kitty following him.] Come on, it’s still me.

[Or maybe you just run into her in the kitchen, bridge, lounge, engine room, or shuttle bay. There are only so many places to be on the ship after all and she gets cagey being all locked up during the drifting weeks when she’s at her best. Right now she’s even more restless than usual. And you know how she’ll often sit on a table or counter instead of a chair? Well, she’s still doing that, but sometimes she’s taking it even more extreme being up on the top of book shelves and various equipment.

You could also find her in her room if you’re looking for a more private moment.]

[ Iskaulit ]
[As awkward as she feels in this body, she’s not going to stop living her life because of it. That means time spent training in the gym where she very awkwardly isn’t sure what to deal with her tail. You might get to see her step on it again. It also means she’ll drop by the library to replenish her book supply and Jarvis’ for some food. A girl’s gotta eat!]

[She thought there would be teasing or laughter when Kurt caught up with the message. She wasn't expecting silence and it makes her feel self conscious in a way she was trying to fight against when that's all she gets. Figeting a little she lifts a hand to wave at him.]

Hey, you. [Say something.] You were my next stop if you didn't see this. Or you still can be. I'm in my room.

Hey, least you're taking it well. Me, I'd be furryous!

[Okay but since this is more in good fun than anything malicious, he will try to be helpful here.]

But hey, once the galaxy's worst case of cat scratch fever wears off, lemme know, I've got your back.

I've had to stitch up worse- patching up what you're planning to do to your wardrobe shouldn't be too hard.

Not that it makes it awesome, but this isn't my first time having my body altered by one of these places. Actually, I had cheetah spots once already, but it was really just the spots, not [Waving hand to indicate her entire self.] all this.

Yeah? Would it look mostly normal and not like something exploded out of the back of my pants and had to be patched up? Because I don't think that's a look anyone can pull off. [But good clothes are kind of limited in space.]

[Vash had missed Kitty's announcement. Having been busying doing a bit of training. He was in his bedroom and had just finished changing into a set of clean clothes and putting his trademark jacket back on when he heard a muffled.

Nyrow!

To his horror when he turned around he saw Kuroneko sitting near the door way with Vash's light blue boxers in her mouth.] Hey, Kitty-kitty! Good kitty! Bring those back over here now! What a good cat!

[Slowly the cat stands as Vash wonders how the hell his door came to be slightly opened, but just glad that the cat was coming towards him and... nope. There she goes bounding down the hall.]

YOU ASSHOLE GET BACK HERE! [Vash sprints down the hall in hot pursuit of the feline.] THAT'S IT!! NEXT PLANET YOU ARE GONE AND NO MORE CATS ALLOWED ON THIS SHIP! I AM SICK OF FLEA COVERED, SMELLY, AND JUST PLAIN AWFUL CATS ON THIS SHIP!

[This seems like a perfect time for Kuroneko to turn a corner and hide behind the legs of her new large person-shaped cat friend! Kitty has about two seconds to phase or get out of the way before Vash slams into her as he skids around the corner to continue the chase!]

[Oh, she phases alright, tail wrapping around Kuroneko reflexively behind her as she phases the other cat right along with her. Then she turns since Vash is behind her now. Arms folding as she looks at him with her head cocked to the side.]

[A sigh.] I thought I'd escaped. Okay, what else have you got?

<sub>[He was just getting something to eat when... well he sees the puppy hurry by and he's about to try and pet Seeker but then a big... person? Comes by? He doesn't recognize it at first. He panics, his heart leaps out of his chest, he looks terrified and he.... wait. Is that--

[Blink.] You do?

[She wasn't aware of anyone furry on fleet. Well-- apart from various pets and herself, but...]

Kurt. Blue guy? Has a tail? Teleports? [Okay, she really shouldn't be that surprised. Kurt isn't as social as she is a lot of the time and she can't remember ever talking to this person before though she recognizes her from the network. And she did talk to her once, but she was smaller and lied about her name and she doesn't know they're connected.]

He's a friend from back home. Our mutations can be physical. Mine's usually not.

SHIIII- [Vash braces for impact as he doesn't recognize Kitty right away and then nearly falls forward when his momentum keeps going instead of coming to the sudden stop he expected.]

Oh... ah, hello! [Vash laughs meekly as he turns back around to greet his new cremate.] Sorry about that! I don't actually hate--

KITTY?! IS THAT YOU?!

You fell through me and you have to ask? It's the new shirt isn't it? Threw you off. [It's a blue tank top. She wanted to cover more skin, but she doesn't like the friction of it and the fur, so tank top and shorts it is for now. Maybe Kurt will have some better advice or maybe he's too used to it to mind.

Her tail sweeps along behind her. She's talked to some people on the network already but seeing someone in person, makes her feel more self conscious about it. At least it must be that and not because it's Vash specifically, right?]

[She comes to a stop when she sees Yuri recoil. It's not like Seeker can get away. It's a spaceship. But it does take a moment to even register what would have startled her shipmate. Strange that her first guess wasn't that she was the fear-inducing thing. Back home she usually was just by being a mutant.]

Yeah. I woke up glitched with the least subtle glitch.

[Vash takes a few moments to blink before standing completely upright and laughing in a good-natured way. Rubbing at the back of his neck as he does so.] No! I think it actually might be the new hair cut-- ah hair style! Sorry, you know men. It takes us awhile to notice.

It's a good look for you! [He throws in a compliment without giving it too much thought.] I like the uhhhhhh... tail? Think you'll keep this look going for a few weeks oooooooooor a more permanent basis? [Kurt is from Kitty's world. Maybe this is just a thing there. Although he is guessing more likely a glitch.]

That's kind of up to the Atroma, but it better not be permanent. [She'd deal if it was. But it's one thing to be changed by your own mutation. It's another for it to happen through external forces.]

And relax. I know you don't hate cats. How could you hate this little cutie? [She crouches down to check on Vash's cat.] What do you have there, little guy?

Because she's a thie-[SHESTILLHASYOURBOXERS!!!!!!!!] NOTHING! SHEHASNOTHING!

[He will dash forward at a speed Kitty may have never seen him move at before. Usually reserved for dodging bullets, but this was an extenuating circumstance!!! He needed to snatch those away before Kitty can clearly see what they were.

And if she did see them? Well, maybe he could say Kuroneko got them from Chuuya's room? Yeah! That's what he'll do!!!!]

[She opened the floor to puns and he is taking the offer. ]

You have to give Atroma points for getting their purrns just right. We should give them a round of apaws.

[It's so abrupt Kitty phases again just in case.] Vash! What is up with you? [Also, her tail is definitely puffed up indicating surprise and a threat. Stop being so expressive, tail!]

[His hand sails through the pair of boxers as they reach it at the same time and Kitty ends up phasing again. Whelp. Plan B it is then.]

Alright! I confess! She stole something personal from Chuuya's room and if I don't return it before he or anyone else finds out I'm pretty sure he will kill me.

As in literally kill me. So, if I could get those back and pretend like this never happened it would be really good for my personal safety. [Just ignore the fact that those boxers if looked at closely are probably a bit too big for what Chuuya would wear.]

[She gently takes the boxers from the cat and holds them out to Vash. This is worth all the fuss? This? Boxers? It's not a glittered thong with lip prints all over it or anything.] Funny that he wears that size. Seems like they'd fit better on you. [The driest and most on to you, co-captain.]

They also have your scent on them. I didn't know you and Chuuya were a thing. [Did she get heightened senses with her new cat-like exterior?

She did not. Back to bluffing.] Congratulations.

[Vash quickly snatches the offending piece of clothing from Kitty's hand before shoving them deep down into his jacket pocket.

As he's called out for his lying at first the tips of his ears go red, but then when she suggests that he and Chuuya are "together" it's his whole face and ears that very suddenly turn crimson.]

WHAT?! NO!! IT'S NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL!

We are not a thing. I'm not even into men!

[She pets his cat—mindful of her new claws a few times before straightening up and stepping cloooooser to the blond who sounds as excitable as his hair looks.] Vash, I'm right here. No need to shout.
