(no subject)

Who: EVERYBODY
Broadcast: Maybe
Action: Lone Breaker System
When: The fleet will be in this system from 3/10 to 4/14

Welcome to the Lone Breaker System. The planet consists of a single ghost town that replenishes its stock daily, and a desert that does not. There are quite a few points of interest, no consequences, and a mystery to be investigated!

More system info is here!

[He's trying to be optimistic here. Cautiously optimistic.]

Yeah... [Don't make it sound like a chore, guy.]

Well! Uh, she seemed happy that you're here. So, y'know, welcome to the fleet! And, um, maybe we could all hang out sometime...

[Smiling ... getting ... harder...]

...That sounds as if it would be needlessly awkward.

[Being with Kaname is one thing, but to hang out with her new boyfriend at the same time, like some kind of creepy third wheel? Either she didn't tell him the whole story or he's hiding the fact that he's an asshole behind that smile.

Whatever, Messer's fine with either, so long as the asshole behaviour stops at Kaname.]

[Well, he's not an asshole. (Tries not to be, anyway.)

His smile finally drops. He's not sure what he did wrong, but he's pretty sure this guy doesn't like him.]

...Right. Cool. Well, you obviously have stuff to do. [He waves at the cart of supplies as he shuffles backward, away.] So, I'm just gonna... [Two thumbs pointing the opposite direction.] And, uh, thanks for the coat I didn't ask for.

You're welcome.

[sorry Prompto, it's not you. not exactly. not... not entirely. Messer gives him a polite but curt nod and faces forward again, revving the engine and driving off without another word or a second glance. It's hard enough to get him talking in the best of situations, and this? Is not the best of anything. At least Prompto is too nice to hate... though maybe that's the problem.

BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME?]
