Who: EVERYBODY
Broadcast: Maybe
Action: Lone Breaker System
When: The fleet will be in this system from 3/10 to 4/14

Welcome to the Lone Breaker System. The planet consists of a single ghost town that replenishes its stock daily, and a desert that does not. There are quite a few points of interest, no consequences, and a mystery to be investigated!

More system info is here!

... A guy in a costume? Some decent make-up effects?

[He looks mildly humored, though. Don't tell him you were that wigged out, buddy...]
tsunergy: (huh) (featuring the death of hundreds!)

[personal profile] tsunergy 2018-03-24 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
What, that was just a costume!? But it was so detailed!

[At least, it looked detailed in motion. He only saw it for a second or two. Gotta love those practical effects...]

Yeah, just a costume and some camera tricks. Maybe some actual special effects. [He looks at the ripped screen; well, if there's no movie to watch, might as well chat. He flips around, resting his arms on the back of the seat.] I've met something kind of close to that. It was a lot less hairy though. Fire works on them, though, if you're ever suddenly attacked.
tsunergy: (annoy)(huh) (though he does slack off a lot)

[personal profile] tsunergy 2018-03-26 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
...I'm a water seraph, though.

[Like okay he has artes that draw from the fire elements but he can't manifest fire...]

[personal profile] collegedropout 2018-03-30 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
Then I guess you better watch out for big hairy monsters that want to munch on seraphs, huh?

[:)]
tsunergy: (annoy) (...some of us...)

[personal profile] tsunergy 2018-04-01 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
[Don't you smile like that, you horrible man.]

What, like hellions? We've already fought hundreds of those back home, actually.
collegedropout: (pic#12171526)

[personal profile] collegedropout 2018-04-01 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe like hellions. But there's also a lot of other kinds of monsters that aren't hellions, right? Like — wendigos. Or Djinn. Djinn are really a pain in the ass.

[Might as well chit-chat about monsters since the scREEN IS RUINED.]
tsunergy: (calm)(huh) (what? I didn't say anything)

[personal profile] tsunergy 2018-04-02 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
What're those?

[Something about the name sounds familiar, but he can't really place it. And he has no idea what the heck a wendigo is.]

[personal profile] collegedropout 2018-04-08 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
Djinn? Well, they're humanoid creatures that feed on the blood of the living. [He shifts a little in his seat, in teacher-tutor-mode.] A lot of the time, they send their victims into hallucinated worlds and keep them there while they feed from them over time; they can see people's deepest desires and give them those things in their dream world to keep them content.

... It's unpleasant to deal with, for sure.

[Dean had a hell of a time, twice. Sam's been lucky there.]
tsunergy: (calm) (so i'm ahead of the game today!)

[personal profile] tsunergy 2018-04-09 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
[Speaking of teacher-tutor, Mikleo's actually got a notebook out and is jotting it all down. He loves this stuff.]

Sounds unpleasant. I've met a seraph who was able to do something similar- she trapped us in an illusionary world several times, though they were far from ideal desires.

[personal profile] collegedropout 2018-04-12 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. What reason did she have to trap you in something less ideal?

... Just for the sake of being an asshole?
tsunergy: (huh) (and then one just happened to splash...)

[personal profile] tsunergy 2018-04-13 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
That's... one way to put it, yeah. Her master was the Lord of Calamity, and our goal was to stop his corruption of the world, so we were destined to be at odds. But to be honest, her motives were never all that clear to me, so... yeah, she was, um.

[An asshole.]
collegedropout: (pic#11534354)

[personal profile] collegedropout 2018-04-17 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
... Jeez. That sucks.

I know the feeling, at least. Trying to stop the whole corruption of the world bit, anyway. [He huffs a sigh, not enjoying whatever flashback he's having to shittier times. He's learned to kind of just deal, and it's been easier to face these things as they are.] How's that goal going for you? Back home.
tsunergy: (sad) (look it's just juice on my face.)

[personal profile] tsunergy 2018-04-19 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
Mm... successful, more or less. There are still a few loose ends we need to tie up, and the purification process is ongoing...

[He trails off for a moment, his expression distant; it's hard to think about what awaits him back home, the loneliness and the loss of Sorey that only stings less here because Sorey is awake and with him now.]

...I'm told that we're still doing well at least a hundred years into the future, though, so I'm taking that as a good sign.

[personal profile] collegedropout 2018-04-24 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
[His brow raises.]

Wow, yeah. Knowing that far ahead's pretty cool. I'm just trying to keep things glued together for at least a few months at a time, at this rate. Sounds like you guys are really on the ball with your work.
tsunergy: (calm) (although i do wonder at the species)

[personal profile] tsunergy 2018-04-28 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
I guess it helps that we're so long-lived. It's easier to keep track of warning signs for calamity when you were around to see it the last time it happened.
