[Chuuya had been hanging around the fairgrounds as well. There was plenty of fun things to do here like a normal person, and as a person with his ability. A place like this, he thinks, is one that makes for happiness. So to see Kitty looking otherwise, well, he won't allow that.]

Ah~ Is it a wine colored day?

[She looks over at her crewmate when he speaks. She could tell someone was near but she was lost in thought.] Hey, Chuuya.

Wine colored? [Not catching the drift he's throwing.]

Once upon a time you spoke of colors for brooding.

[He laughs softly.]

I still think wine is a good brooding color!

You have a good memory. Yeah, it's kind of a wine-colored day. I mean, what else is new with me, right? [She has her playful moments. More and more really, but she knows she's had a hard time for awhile. And it's not just Winn leaving even though that's how it usually feels and he is a big part of it. There's just a lot of hard things in her past she hasn't had adequate space and time to process and now she has more of that so they come up. She gives him a little smile.]

What color is your day so far?

My day so far has been a sunny yellow! I played some games and won them all.

[A smug look on his face, puffing his chest out. Games you find at fairgrounds and the like are easy when you have an ability like his!]

But enough about that... Do you want some company?

Won them all, huh? [She smiles more at that under the abandoned fair context.] It'd be pretty easy to take whatever prizes you wanted either way.

But sure. Company away. [It's better than brooding. Wouldn't want to permanently wrinkle the forehead!] What do you want to do?

Yeah! You should have seen it. I'm sure they're people looking to get ratings, so when I saw someone handling games, I had to play and put on a show!

["Put on a show" or "show off," you know, probably the same in this case!]

What I've been curious about is the food! Any idea if it's any good here?

I guess you'll have to show me too. [But food can be first.]

Mmm...it's not bad for completely mysterious probably dangerous food. [But she's also checked it out in every way she knows how and it seems fine and people have been eating it for awhile.] Do you have funnel cakes back home?

We do have funnel cake! Did you want to eat some?

I do think it is one of the superior choices here. [And that twinge of orange tastes better in sweet foods than corn dogs.]

There's a stand over there. [Nodding in the direction.] Do you have fairs like this where you're from?

[Chuuya makes a mental note of Kitty thinking the funnel cake is a superior choice here. He may need to use that... one day... if he finds everything else is terrible.

He follows in the direction of the stand.]

We do! We serve foods that are slightly different, however. Like grilled squid on a skewer!

That make sense. You're Japanese, right? [She can tell by the bright red hair.]

[Now he's thinking about more fair food. He hasn't gone to many, but he couldn't forget food he enjoyed.]

We serve a lot of food on sticks at fairs and festivals, come to think of it...!

Americans are right there with you with the food-on-a-stick thing. Even if it is more corn dog and less eel. Maybe it can't be improved on. The ideal food delivery system.
