Welcome to the Lone Breaker System. The planet consists of a single ghost town that replenishes its stock daily, and a desert that does not. There are quite a few points of interest, no consequences, and a mystery to be investigated!

More system info is here!

[oh my gosh Takeshi. WHen he gets close she stands up and leans over to offer him some help]

Be careful, dear - I have been told it is . . . melodic? Like a song at times. It is not a very rough language, like this one can be, or others.

[It's all good it's all good bruises are a+ climbing lessons.]

Really? I wonder why we don't all use it, if it sounds so nice.

But I guess Japanese is kinda pretty, too! I don't know if it sounds like a song, but...

[no, no bruises allowed let her help]

It is not used a lot where I'm from either. Most people are able to speak Common, so that is the main language. You won't hear Elvish unless you go to a village or town that is primarily made up of Elves.

I knew a few people who were from - Japan, yes? What does Japanese sound like?

Oh, it sounds like... umm...

I dunno, what should I say?

[He's never shared a language before, you know!]

You could say, "this is what my language sounds like."

[and after a thoughtful moment, she repeats it in Elvish] That is mine.

[Ah! He thinks hard about it for a moment, feeling a spotlight on him, so to speak.

Which is silly, because it's just sharing languages; nevertheless, he's a bit to eager when he says:]

私は日本語を話します!

[oh goodness she was not expecting him to yell it]

My. [she blinks a few times. She supposed it was good it was just them in the theatre] It sounds very different from other languages I've heard.

You think so? Is it pretty cool? I think it's pretty cool. It makes things sound real, uh — dramatic! But in a strong, hero way. If you say it like that, anyways.

[Don't mind him, he's rambling and daydreaming about the super sentai and muscle rider.]

It does sound better for . . . ah, dramatics and such. My native language is not good for it, so much. [...] Dwarvish is a little better, I think, but their language is . . . rougher? Than mine.

Dwarvish? [He cocks his head to the side where it rests against the seat.] I never heard of that. I know elves, but not Dwarvish...es.

Mmm. They are - not as tall as humans, and oftentimes half the size, but they are very strong, and very intelligent. One of companions back home is a dwarf, though she is still a child but their standards.

My people were friendly with them, so I grew up learning their language along with my own and the common language.

Wow... You must be pretty smart, to learn all these languages.

[He's not sure it counts for him, because he like... just Knows a language magically. It's cheating.]

I wouldn't say that - I only learned the common language because my father spoke it. And I wanted to be like him when I grew up. [her nose wrinkles briefly at the admission] Speaking two or three languages is fairly normal, though. Or at the very least, knowing how to carry a conversation in a few languages. It's necessary when one travels.
