[He thought it was an easy way to keep from having to carrying around in a holster.

Anyway, it hadn't stopped the big bad from getting a hold of his gun, so it's not like it worked 100%...]

A plebe? I am not so sure I would call you that. Even if one gets lucky they still have to learn. You have done well it seems.

I admit my preference is more for sword than gun but even I can admire the skill you have.

[He flushes a bit, self-consciousness. But also proud. He worked hard!]

Swords are more common where I'm from, but I was never very good with them. It worked out, though! Every team needs a ranged fighter, right?

Indeed. It can be very beneficial to have range in battle.

[He chuckles gently.]

Though I have this augment to tell me how to use the weaponry, would you be willing to teach this father how to use the guns? They are not a weapon I specialized in before coming here and I wish to better be able to protect those of this place.

I'm probably not much of a teacher, but sure! If you're going to use a gun, you should know how to use one. [First thing that was drilled into him the moment he picked one up.] Did you bring one with you?

Perfect. [Personally, Prompto did not like the fleet sidearms - too light and no real kick. But they were easy to use, accessible, and lasers didn't need reloading. He sent his pistol away and brought out his own fleet-issue sidearm.] Um... Why don't you show me what you've got and shoot that can over there. We can make adjustments from there.

[He nods and goes to set himself up. Of course he hits the can easily enough since he has the benefit of the Security Augment. But still it almost feels unnatural to him as his pretty face frowns some.]

I have always been a sword instead. To use a firearm now is still odd despite my augment.

You might just need more practice. It gets easier. Or it did for me. [He considers the fallen target for a moment.] Though it looks like you're doing pretty good.

[He settles into position - knees slightly bent, both hands on the gun - and fires off his own shot.]

[Curious eyes watch the boy for a moment before he tries to mimic him. He isn't sure if it's as flawless as the boy made it but he does try another shot after that.]

How odd to have to keep still rather than to move about in order to fight.

Easier to aim if you're not moving all over the place. [Though he did a lot of moving around and shooting during battle, regardless.] Good thing about guns - you can hang back and fight from a distance.
